NBA 2K17 The Prelude is available now on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Download it, play around a bit and post your thoughts here. Don't forget to download MyNBA2K17 and get a face scan. If you need some tips on how to scan your face into NBA 2K17, click here.

You can queue them up from the download links below or search NBA 2K17 The Prelude on your console.FYI: For those of you that downloaded from New Zealand earlier in the morning, take note, straight from Erick Boenisch.

This is how 2ks eSports mode needs to be. Fake characters with pronounced strengths and weaknesses making you strategize how to use them.
PG#1 STEALS EVERYTHING!! SF #5 was money, the SG was terrible.

On PS4 had to click the link on the home page. Couldn't find it in the Playststion Store not even under NBA 2k17 so that experienced sucked! Might be there by the time this post is up though! PS4 store is super slow!

My download says 99+hours left damn Lol

Yeah it took it's sweet time copying yesterday for me.

Took me a very long time too. Around 3 hours. I think you first download the first 4,5gigs and that's 2KU and then you download another 15gigs and extract the data.

Any tips for dribble moves? Can't seem to get the timing down to string them together well

I downloaded it last night but won't get to play until tonight. Really looking forward to getting a taste of 2k17.

I hated this year's marketing but I do the way they are doing it does make the 10 days prior to release so much better.

I believe the controls are set to "camera relative". It is very difficult for me to dribble using this setting. I'll have to wait for the full version to change my dribbling to "absolute".

What's your opinion on the audio guys ? I thought the athmosphere was pretty good in the college game and the new rim/bounce/swish sounds are great.

Can you still use the buttons for shooting? (square/X)? Or is it only shooting with the right stick this year? I've never used shooting with the right stick, I don't care for it. Hoping we can stick with button shooting.

The thing is that there is a risk/reward mechanic when using the stick this year. You gotta either pull it straight down or straight up and if you can aim it perfectly up or down you will get a slight field goal success bonus. If you don't aim it properly you get a slight penalty. It's worth giving it a shot at least and see how if you like it.

To me it feels like in the long run it ends up being the same for the button users and stick users.

From my limited play time in 2KU. Transition offense and defense seem greatly improved!

Is anyone noticing a follow through problem with the shimmy hooks? The center in 2KU would shoot a right shimmy hook and then follow through with his left hand like he did a fadeaway haha
