NBA 2K17 News Post

Willie Reed Jr. has managed to leak out some NBA 2K17 video footage confirming David Aldridge and Brent Barry in the game.

NBA2KGames grabbed a copy of one of the videos here. Hustle Westbrook managed to get a copy of another video here.

UPDATE: The videos have been removed, but we definitely saw David Aldridge and heard Brent Barry on the commentary team in NBA 2K17. In another video, you could hear Doris Burke and Greg Anthony. Is Clark Kellogg gone? Could we see multiple commentary teams in the game? Let the speculation begin.

I'm pretty amped about that short clip. Players seemed responsive, not long drawn out animations. The footwork in the post, looked like there was actually weight to them. Game is looking good.

As much as 2K likes to promote self-branding, it's overkill watching Kenny/Shaq/Ernie surrounded by 2K insignia that does NOTHING to reflect NBA style broadcasting in real-life.

They really should get the TNT broadcasting licence. The fact that they have 2KTV and now with the mobile app is already a major plus for their branding. They would knock presentation out the park if they added TNT to the mix.

As for this 2K17 snippet, the only real negative about this is those damn eyes rolling around in his head!!

2K needs to fix that. It can't be that difficult. Fix them on the camera, a few blinks and maybe the occasional glance away as if there was someone passing behind the camera man, done. All the players do it in interviews too and it looks awful!

I thought he was alright. He may still be in for all we know. Though I would say that the commentary has gotten a little stale. It was revolutionary when they debuted it but it's time of a shake up. Looks like we may be getting it this year.

How exactly does it do nothing to "reflect NBA style broadcasting in real life?" They literally open games in studio at a desk in a virtually created studio or live from the site of games for home openers, big season matchups and playoff games. The only thing NOT real life about it is having the 2K branding instead of an actual network. Some of y'all just say stuff and have no clue what you're talking about.

For me multiple commentary teams adds so much to sports games.

Brilliant news!

I may be imagining things, but in the Jared Sullinger rating screen, there's an 'NBA GAMETIME - TONIGHT' banner courtside just behind him. Has that been there in previous games? I know it probably has, but I'm not sure now.

Maybe some weekly/nightly recap show in My League

That'd be pretty cool. I guess they realised that their commentary was starting to get pretty stale.

I'd like 2k take the Madden route and have a new commentary crew....a crew that has the time to record new stuff through the whole season.

Based off of the footage from last year with the NBA TV cast in 5he studio I'm assuming there's going to be the regular NBA on 2K team and an NBA TV team. I hope I'm right, lol

That would be awesome. One crew for regular games and the other for big matchups. That would really liven things up. I liked the pregame show with Shaq, Ernie and Kenny but I really want to see them in big games. Not some trash game between the Nets and Suns.

Dump Doris Burke and get Cheryl Miller, maybe you could leverage that to get Reggie signed on.

To everyone saying they should add Craig Sager- have you seen that dude the past few months? No disrespect but he may not even be ALIVE at the end of the season. That would be a weird situation if he passed away while the game was still current.

Not to mention, if you knew your time was short, would you rather hang out with NBA players, play golf and spend time with your family, or kick it with Ronnie 2k in some random studio recording lines for a damn video game??? Wise up.

Boy ya dumb. First of all, who is your team? Secondly, the Suns are far from trash. They'll be in the playoffs this year. Please pipe down.

Can't wait to hear more about this. If there are in fact multiple commentary teams it should help with the monotony of hearing the same voices and lines. No matter what commentary in sports games with get repetitive after awhile but this would help games feel different.

It would cool if they took it a step further and treated the teams like two seperate networks with different overlays and presentation styles. So maybe one crew and presentation package is a little more similar to espn and the other is modeled after TNT. Then they could just make up names for the "stations". For ex: "The 2k Sports Network (2KSN)" and "Take-Two Sports Broadcasting (TTSB)". Something along those lines.

I wonder if Clark Kellogg is going to do the College games in MyCAREER.

1.) I don't have a team. Im just a fan of the NBA.

2.) The Suns haven't won more than 20 games in a single season of my now 5 year ML. That is trash.

3.) It just an example. You need to calm your *** down.
