Did they accidentally write the list backwards?

As far as the speed ratings, yeah all the top WRs seem to be faster than the top CBs but honestly I like that you are taking a gamble leaving a guy 1 on 1 against a fast WR

Looks like speed ratings will be whack again. Age shouldn't matter. PP and Shields are the two fastest CB's in the NFL, and their speed should reflect that. Both should be 95+. Same goes for WR's Ginn at a meer 90-92 spd is useless.

I also remember reading Harris was the best slot corner in the nfl holding qbs to a rating I think around 45 or something. Harris ability to play inside and out to me makes him above what talib is asked to do.

Add in how undisciplined talib is with his personal fouls and bone headed decisions lol.

Oh, Talib is a boneheaded idiot on the field (and apparently off it, too). Raw ability wise I do think he may be a more talented athlete than Harris, though.

Again, I am no expert, just a guy who watched the Broncs. I could be way off

Norman earned that top spot. Revis aint the same as he was, but deserves to be top 4.
I'm a Cardinals fan who watches all of their games & I agree with you. I wouldn't go as far as saying Peterson is overrated, but what you said is true. With that said, he did have a great season last year & didn't get burned as much. He's been a lot better at staying disciplined & not going for the big interception all the time. He held AJ Green & Antonio Brown to 2 catches! He definitely belongs in the top 5.

Josh Norman absolutely earned the top spot last year. No way is he a system guy. Richard Sherman is more of a system guy than Norman. The Seahawks play a cover 3 virtually the entire game giving Sherman backside help from 2 of the best safeties in the game. That said, Sherman does hold his own & should be a little higher.

The Panthers are going to regret letting Josh Norman get away!

Where do you see the ratings calculation for the overall rating which hasn't been shared with us?

Except this year Sherman was asked to follow top players around the field more vs. previous years which coincides with the change in defensive coordinator (Dan Quinn -> Kris Richard.) Like I linked before regarding him, Norman usually had to only consider his area and passed off opponents to his teammates in different zones. He is a Top 5 guy but he's not the best considering the system he was in.

With which part? Sherman definitely followed players around. Josh Norman definitely played in a zone heavy scheme where he did not have a heavy responsibility in covering the best players. Norman is still a top 5 corner, just not THE top corner. Sherman moved around more often on the field this year shadowing no. 1 receivers than before. Or do you think he's still the best cornerback despite being in a friendly scheme that gave him a lot of help and didn't stress the corners? That's fine if you do, just want to understand.

I think what every one is failing to realize about CHJ and Broncos DBs, is that Wade dialed up the blitz alot, I know the pass rush was insane but they were left on islands all year with no help from safeties... Between him, Roby and Talib. CHJ was the most consistent of the bunch. Talib is the most talented but can gamble too much, and Roby is great as well just hasnt had as many snaps. But CHJ's consistency is what they are giving the nod too imho.

I thought Trufant would be top 5. But overalls arent as important as individual ratings.

Being a homer, i dont understand how sherm got such a low man coverage rating. im interested in what his press rating will be if he doesn't have the high press rating then something is off.

Joe Haden hasn't been good in a while guys. Darius Slay should arguably be top 5.

Sherm doesn't have elite man coverage. His press is what makes his man coverage look better. I think his zone should be higher though but I guess they penalized him & maybe Earl too for the blown coverage vs Panthers during the season.

Here's a better comparison, it's not that bad IMO

Not that bad? That yellow stripe is WAY too thick. Good Lord... And the white stripes have more distance between them and the yellow stripe in real life. And how is yours a better comparison? Yours is far away, mine is right up close, just like the photo from the game.

Patrick Peterson should be the number 1 corner with Sherman 2nd.
