I really liked 16. Not a great game, but very solid. So I am sure I will like 17 and I'm excited for it.
You're not one of the only ones, it's just that the ones that care about it, really, really care about it, they're basically the video game equivalent of a single issue voter. The whole game is critiqued through the angry lens of hating the movement. It is what it is.

If you're trying to read that, Mathieu shouldn't be able to make that play. Some get hung up, as you say, because the lack of transition animations affect gameplay, heavily.

Some of you simply have no respect for an opposing view. If you like it, cool. But why bash those that don't?

Or do you really view the animations of a video game as a single thing?

Thanks. This is very disappointing news.

All these tweets claiming this has been tuned and that has been fixed so at this point I'd just like to see some uncut game play, preferably before EA access. Right at 3 weeks from the actual game being playable through EA access yet all we have is sparse video clips to parse through.
Rex said they would be streaming the game closer to release. So when that happens we should be getting some uncut game play.

This is unnecessary. Both sides are allowed to have their opinion (as long as it doesn't cross into the trolling territory).

Trying to read what now? And sorry you didn't like my term "hung up." I didn't mean it in a negative way.

And if you wanna say some animations effect gameplay, of course they do. This happens in every game. Do you play The Show? I can give you tons of instances where animations have cost me games, no hitters, and perfect games.

I, myself, personally, don't let the issues effect my enjoyment of the game as much as others. That's all I'm trying to say.

I fail to see why it matters if the uncut game play is available now or right up until the game releases.

You won't see Tiburon release extensive footage of the game as much at E3 time anymore because the game isn't done at that point in time. I'm reasonably sure Madden just went gold master very recently - around the same time No Man's Sky did, but Madden has more first-party certifications to pass, thus the longer lead time. They're probably still working on the zero-day patch as we speak as well.

Point being, no footage they release at E3 or even now is going to be representative of the game we receive in late August, so it does nothing but hurt EA to release footage of the unfinished game. Any bugs that show up in that footage to turn off the hardcore crowd are going to hurt them, even if those bugs get patched by launch day. This is similar to the reasoning why there are no-filming policies at the E3 / EA PLAY / similar trade shows.

It's not about "hiding" the game; it's about putting forth to the consumer and the media the best product possible.

I was pretty excited for the game, after reading all the blogs. These videos actually brought down my hype. Pass rush is non existent, overall looks disappointing.

If they show the game they know they will get ripped. So we only get these crummy clips. Instead of just an actual game.

Has nothing to do with it, the developers don't run marketing. Their pride is on display in the tweet thread, I don't think they've ever been as accessible and forthcoming.

This. And besides, most sports games don't show full unedited gameplay months before launch or even weeks. Usually highlighted gameplay featuring new modes and stuff like that. We saw raw gameplay from EA play. Most other games don't do that so far from release.

And we have been told we will get raw gameplay in August from the devs. Just like last year. This all has absolutely nothing to do with pride. And almost everything to do with marketing.

Game is done.... By the time you package disks and ship them out your looking at around 3 weaks. Those games have to be in stores by 8/22. I remember reading something a few years back that stated that come August 1st the game is set up for packaging and shipping . As far as patches , those are still in the works and can drop digitally once approved. But like I stated , come 8/1 it's a safe bet to start to see vids of the game because it is what we will see at launch.

And I can't remember a time that there wasn't a release day patch which gives credence to the statement that the game isn't done yet regardless of the gold date.
