NBA 2K17 News Post

It appears the expected is happening and Ben Simmons will be your number one pick in the 2016 NBA Draft later this week.

Quote:
"The team worked Simmons out privately on Tuesday, the first and only workout Simmons has done leading up to the draft. This was after the LSU star met with the team last week in Cleveland, where Simmons had been working out.

Simmons told SportsCenter on Tuesday he was in Philadelphia to 'introduce myself.'"

With Simmons as the newest member of the 76ers lineup, there's going to be a lot of expectation that the young PF can deliver results for the ailing franchise. But his game doesn't come without questions.

Quote:
"The curious case of Simmons' shooting, however, is another story. This isn't your typical tale of a young, high-volume player who needs to improve his efficiency, but a heavy-usage, point-forward player who simply does not shoot from the outside. Simmons has taken three shots from deep the entire season. It is nearly beyond comprehension."

Simply put, while Simmons has a lot of strengths which should carry over into the pro game (and NBA 2K17) quite well, there are some other items which will draw questions from many as to the exact extent of his talent.

What do you think of Simmons in the 76ers lineup in NBA 2K17? What do you think his ratings should be as we head into a new season?

Personally I think that his outside shooting should be in the 60's. He outright avoided taking shots at a shorter line even when he was left open. He only took three 3s the whole year. I think having a low enough 3 rating will make players avoid shooting 3s with him like he will in real life.

His passing iq, accuracy and vision will all be very high though so that should give him a pretty big boost in ovr. Also expect him to have dimer and flashy passer.

His physical attributes will probably be in/around the 80's except maybe for strength. He was not a very good post defender against guys with size and he would also avoid contact.

It's hard to say what his overall will be. 2K tends to rate guys taken in the top 5 in the 75-80's even if they have to fudge the numbers a little.
