YouTube user strawberryyogurt0, has uploaded this Madden NFL 17 cinematic trailer of the opening sequence between the Washington Redskins and Los Angeles Rams.
The commentary and coaches look great....But somewhat disappointed that I didnt see any really new animations beside that spin move(2x) throughout the whole video...Hopefully the game will have alot of new animations but you would think they would show the new ones as much as possible in videos like that...just a thought!!
I know it's not going to happen, but it would be cool if they added one of these each week (best moment of the week)since they are updating commentary.
Obviously couldn't happen cause they would need players and coaches to come in and do voiceovers as well. But would be a fun weekly feature in my opinion.
I liked the trailer. It puts you in the realm of football, but I wish they would tweak the lighting and shading to look more realistic. There was a big jump from madden 25 to madden 16 graphically . I can't tell for sure unless I have both madden 16 and 17 side by side, but it does seem the same. Commentating seems like it will change how the game flows.
Commentary sounded good..referencing the distance on a previously missed field goal and how long the players been in the league. Still need to hear some unedited gameplay playcalling...not the cinematic stuff.
Madden is getting to where it should be but still has a ways to go. Hopefully they scrap the current player movement/interaction when th ey switch to frostbite in '18
I dont think the development team is working on these videos. they probably have different departments, one of which is for producing trailer videos such as these. its not likely a matter of 'should we improve the game or make a trailer video?'. the same people who work on getting features/updates into the game probably aren't the ones who make the the trailers.
That may be true but it's still coming out of the overall budget to make the game. It's not like they have unlimited resources. I'm sure these cinematic opening scenes take a big chunk of the pie.

Where the heck are these unpaid interns that companies employ to do grunt work? Here's your project for today little Timmy (or here is a project for that youtuber that promotes EA Madden) cue up another 30 second trailer for team _____. You can put this on your resume.

I'm just gonna keep it real here. That cinematic "Gameplay trailer" we got for Madden 06 looked like hot garbage. I never understood why people actually wanted the game to animate and look that way.
I want to congratulate this year's team. E3, now EA Play and June trailer reveal has always been exciting times to show off their work.
That being said, ya'll need to have a serious talk with marketing. That was a pretty average trailer by AAA game standards of a couple years ago.
Go hard after your core, really go after that 80% you already have clamoring for more and the other 20%, your marketing team would be surprised by what the results would be.
What can I say it is just madden never getting the little things right. The player at end of trailer was about to block the kick. Looked as if he was about to jump over the center. You can't do that in football, but still ready to get my hands on m17.
