NBA 2K16 (PS4) Free For PlayStation Plus Subscribers in June

The PlayStation 4 version of NBA 2K16 will be free for the month of June (starting June 7) for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Check out the full list of games below.

This is false.

All it is, is a digital copy. You can't play online without Playstation Plus but once you download a game it's on your PSN account, whether you have it downloaded or not. It's always on your account on their server.

So yeah if you buy Playstation plus for a month to download the game it's yours. I've DL plenty of games and let my account expire and they are still there for playing.

Don't confuse people with false information.

I've never been huge into basketball games I think because how long it takes to play a game. How many mins per quarter can I play to get realistic scores? 7-8?

Well then things have changed, because that was how it was. I had PSPlus when it was optional for years and any free game I got from it, would be completely unplayable without it. I know this for a fact because for the occasional month or two I didn't renew it, every single free game I had wasn't playable. Sure, they would be "still there" but you couldn't launch it at all without PSPlus and it would let you know exactly that.

I haven't not had PSPlus since I've had a PS4 so sorrryyy if things changed. No need to degrade me because I gave an answer that was completely 100% true for years on in

I'll guesssssss i'll your word for it that this is no longer the case, or perhaps this particular game is different, but this is a current, updated message from the playstation website

"Once your PlayStation Plus membership ends, content you previously downloaded at no cost as part of the membership (such as Plus Monthly Games) will no longer be available. However, free avatars and content you purchased at a discounted PlayStation Plus price is yours to keep.

If your PlayStation Plus membership expires and you renew it at a later date, you will regain access to content that you have previously downloaded through PlayStation Plus."

You will still have to download the 44 gb or whatever it is even if it has already ben installed from a disk.

Just went on the PS4 now with no plus and played a game I DL months ago no problem

You probably haven't activated your console as the primary in your account. (Probably should be worded backwards) I had that issue with psn being down and not having internet, the games and apps not working, it when you activated your account as primary on your ps4 you will have the digital license and should be able to play games and use apps without psn plus or an internet connection.

Oddly enough you need to have PS plus to use YouTube and HBOGO. Go figure.

It's up now Pacific Time. Will the digital download prevent my PS4 from being so loud rather than using the disc? I noticed it only happens with 2k16.
