NBA 2K16 News Post

Steph Curry had a heck of a night last night.

Not only did he score the most points in an OT effort ever (17), but he also single handedly took a playoff game over and delivered a big W for Golden State -- putting the Warriors up three games to one and certainly clinching their ticket onwards.

Quote:
"Perhaps the best way summarize Curry's performance on Monday is with this stat: Curry missed his first nine 3-pointers and later scored 17 points in overtime -- an NBA record."

Curry can catch fire like few players in the history of the game, and when he does -- it almost seems like he may actually encapsulate what it may look like to see a player with skills beyond what we typically see.

With that in mind, are Curry's attributes (especially his offensive attributes) properly captured in NBA 2K16? Do you think that Curry should be considered for something higher than a 99 overall rating?

Sound off in the comments!

"Well rounded?" so you are in a "should curry be higher than a 99" thread arguing that the TWO time MVP is "well rounded." God what a waste of time.

I am done.
LOL. Thank goodness. Sorry you weren't able to comprehend the posts in this thread.

In all honesty....If the dev team could just get 'virtual' Steph to play even remotely like 'real-life' Steph....then all would be right with this world.

To get a 99 you would need to be in the top three.

Great for your position or size, isn't a compelling argument.

Does Russell Westbrook Justify Greater Than an 99 Overall Rating?

Had to. Klay, Russ, and KD are outplaying him yet people here want him to be the GOAT and unstoppable in 2K.

Loving his motor and willigness to contribute on both ends of the floor, even when he is late on the defense he sprints back up and catch some steals, really Curry can't run with this guy and probably never could. Westbrook & Lillard are two league's most energizing point guards honestly.

Love the old concept of jumping on a small sample size. Bravo everyone.

I'll concede that this stretch does remove them from the Bulls as the best team of all-time. But, judging Steph on 2 games (in which he is likely injured) is just silly.

But I thought injuries were just part of the game? Isn't that what was said last year when Warriors went on to win the championship?

No one is taking anything away from the Thunder. That is stupid to bring up because injuries/or random events happen every year.

But when talking about individual play? It's completely relevant.

MJ shot below 36% 4 time during the 95-96 postseason. He sucked!

I didn't hear anything about him being hurt when he was declaring he's back in the Portland series or after game 2

This is why I was worried about the Cavs and Warriors being rated soooo high. I keep posting the picture. How could the current Cavs be better then the 2001 Lakers?

I could imagine all the Thunder players are going to get a defensive and hustle boost.

I agree with the Cavs, but the Warriors are separate from the conversation. They are coming off a title and had the greatest regular season ever.

Curry contributes on defense as much as Harden does (in these series), literally he leaves the 4 other dudes to defend and pass him the ball for 30 feet airball over Steven Adams.

You don't win playoff games relying your sharpshooter will knock down treys during stretches while other team plays phyiscal defense, rebound and chase them all over the floor. On the side note i feel sorry for the robbing of Terry Stotts.
