NBA 2K16 News Post

Shady has checked in again with another NBA 2K16 video. This one recreates the big T-Mac dunk on Shawn Bradley, back in the 2005 playoffs, which can be seen here.

He spent 7 hours playing against the CPU just to get the right animation to trigger. Dirk, Shawn, and the T-Mac jab step has to be synced perfectly to make this play work.

Check it out and post your thoughts!

7 hours??? No offense, but what's the point? I 'm lucky if I get 7 hours of free time all week, can't imagine spending it doing this.

That's dedication to provide your fans content.

It's appreciated Shady, keep at it.

There's a draw for some, myself included to some degree, of replicating great moments from the past (or recent present, for that matter) on 2K. I imagine the fascination must be in the same area code as those who build model cities or railroads, haha. Even just editing a classic team so all the correct players are added, accessories are identical, and rotations exact can be oddly satisfying, even if it takes hours.

Also, add in that Shady is a fellow with over 76,000 YouTube subscribers who may be cashing in to some degree for his work and maybe it's not necessarily a few hours poorly spent. Seven's pretty wild, but there's worse things. I imagine this clip will live on for quite a few years to the enjoyments of thousands of others.

7 hrs seems extremely geeky but nice video overall. Good recreation !

I wonder if they still have this dunk animation in 2K16. To me this one seems more like the one TMac did, mainly because how Macs leg was when he dunked on him. Which stands out to me the most for some reason.

Only thing about the animation is Bradley didn't fall. One of my favorite dunks though.

I've spent hours just re-creating rosters that combine current and legend NBA players. It's so fun just thinking about how these teams would compete and play with each other

That was amazing.

On another note, does it irritate anyone else that a LOT of the accessories and shoes for the classic teams/players are way off? T-Mac wore his arm band over his elbow, not forearm, and they even have it in the game so why not use it? Same for Penny Hardaway they have him in Hakeem and Horace Grants gigantic elbow pads smh
