Happy Opening Day Monday fellow OS’ers!

My name is Corey Andress, and I’m the Global Digital Strategist over at Out of the Park Developments, and I’m here today to share our ‘official’ season predictions to celebrate the start of the 2016 MLB season! These predictions are based on our incredible sim engine, and numerous seasons were simmed to assure accuracy. Let’s see what we can get right this year!

Before we get into the fun stuff, on behalf of the OOTP development team, we’d like to say thank you to OperationSports and your amazing community of members who continue to support us on a year-to-year basis. It’s your passion that drives us forward, and we’ll continue to innovate and improve! As a token of our appreciation, and to celebrate what is sure to be an exciting MLB season, we’re also giving away three (3) copies of OOTP Baseball 17 for Steam (PC/Mac) to the OS community!   All you have to do to qualify is to mention who you think will win this year’s World Series in the comments below, and we’ll pick 3 lucky winners by Friday April 8th.

Well if the highly in depth baseball team predictes that the Dodgers are going to the world series then I'm trusting them and picking them to win it all.

I'm a Tigers fan through and through, but I like the Royals to beat the Jays in the ALCS to make it to a third straight WS. I have them facing the Cubs who'll beat Mets to make it to the WS. In a tough fought 7 game series, I have the Cubs reversing the curse and beating the Royals to win it all.

Would love to give OOTP 17 a go! Been hearing nothing but good things about this game and the series overall. Think the simulation is pretty accurate in terms of realism, except for Kershaw's ridiculous numbers (never say never, though!). I think the Pirates beat the Astros in 6 for the WS this year!

With their better bullpen and slightly sidestep starting rotation, I think the Toronto Blue Jays bats will pound them to a World Series win this year.

Cubs winning the division is good, but 91 wins seems low. Love OOTP franchise.

I believe the Dodgers will win the World Series

I predict that the Astros will beat the Cubs in 6 in the World Series.

I think the Dodgers can get it together this year and bring it home the championship, though that could just be the fan in me speaking, though after their opening day performance things seem to be looking good, for now at least. Also really enjoy what I've played of OOTP in the past, though the majority of my experience has been with the mobile version, been thinking about getting the PC version this year though.

The Nationals. Scherzer and Strasburg are a formidable pair in any playoff series. Also Harper is quite good.

My picks this year for the World Series are the Toronto Blue Jays, who best the Chicago Cubs in 7 games to keep the curse intact.
