NHL 16 Patch 1.05 Available Now For Xbox One & PS4, Full Details Included

NHL 16 patch title update #5 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users. Full details can be seen in the image above.

The patch notes mention new jerseys are available, but nobody can see them yet, for some reason. We will update this post when we hear anything. Otherwise, let us know what you are seeing.

UPDATE: Download the latest roster update to see the new jerseys. Here are some more details on the patch.

Gameplay

Increased attribute effect range to create more player separation.
Increased range of attribute effects for goalies so that the weaker goalies are further separated from the best ones.
Increased goalies ability to save slower low shots and passes towards the net.
Increased referee strictness when teams were already shorthanded so that penalties no longer go uncalled.
Increased pokecheck success when in proper positions.
Increased penalties from stick lift at wrong angles.
Removed the effect protecting the puck has in resistance to being hit (either with protect puck or holding the puck out away from your opponent). Note: Being in a controlled glide with full balance and/or limiting the relative speed of the hit will still be advantageous over skating, performing an action or higher relative speed hits when trying to stay in control.
Addressed issue where players would occasionally stay in the penalty box for the rest of the game after the end of their penalty.
Addressed issue where players would not line up correctly when using the aggressive faceoff style during an offensive zone faceoff.

Added the 2015-16 Minnesota Wild Stadium Series jersey
Added the 2015-16 Colorado Avalanche Stadium Series jersey
Added the 2015-16 Detroit Red Wings Stadium Series jersey
Added the San Antonio Rampage 3rd jersey
Added the Charlottetown Islanders 3rd jersey
Added the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 3rd jersey
Added the Hamilton Bulldogs 3rd jersey

Online

Made network performance improvements in EA SPORTS Hockey League and Online Team Play.
Added "Dangler" player class in EASHL.

I downloaded and installed the patch, restarted the console and can't see the jerseys either.

I read somewhere that the patch has a tuner update that your prompted to download when you boot up the game after the installing the patch. Is that true? Maybe the jersey updates are in the tuner?

I for one will skip this update for now. My game is playing to good. I'm afraid of messing up the mojo. I don't need the jerseys and don't have the penalty issue. I would have liked to see them add the new Bauer pads too though...

Wish they would've added the Winter Classic outdoor stadium in this patch. Got the game a couple weeks ago & love it but very disappointed the Winter Classic is not in.

I was having the same issue with the jerseys, just go into Customize, and download today's current online roster. After, make sure it's the "active" roster. Once this is done, the jerseys will be applied.

So once i do this will i see them in my gm mode or do i have to restart with latest roster?

In addition to the patch, there were also tuners released. And the two points below about better player separation seem really interesting (if working as advertised of course).

FEB 11 - TUNER

- Increased attribute effect range to create more player separation.
- Increased range of attribute effects for goalies so that the weaker goalies are further separated from the best ones.
- Lowered EASHL AI goalie attributes slightly.
- Faceoffs are now equal across all EASHL forward classes to rule out any balance issues.
- Re-Balanced EASHL Power Forward class attributes slightly.

FEB 10 - TUNER

- Increased goalies ability to save slower low shots and passes towards the net.
- Increased referee strictness when teams were already shorthanded so that penalties no longer go uncalled.
- Increased pokecheck success when in proper position.

Just did the update and i can see all the new jerseys. Maybe downloading the latest tuner set helped? Also new EASHL build...Dangler

What do Pens fans need to do to get "Party Hard" into the game??? If I remember correctly, this song was in Madden 2003, so EA should have the right to use it somehow.

I guess that patch installs on XB1 even if you're not around. I didn't get a prompt but I did get the new tuner message.

Anyway.. first game with new tuner (only 4 games left in my first season, played every game) and after just one game, penalties seem to be back again, total of 8 in my game. Take this with a grain of salt, but the game was really "loose" and I did see more player separation as lower line players had trouble putting passes on tape and shots were going wide. Need more games, obviously.. but I like it so far. Oh, I beat Boston, 2-0 but the goalies were great and the D on Boston chased me around more than usual.

I just got the game and was on tuner 1.04 and already I saw more player separation than I have in a long time.
Several crap players bobbling passes, firing wide, or having passes picked off.
Hearing that there's even more separation is music to my ears.

The penalties were pretty good before, but I had to laugh at some of the tripping penalties.
In one, my dman went to pinch to keep a loose puck in the zone. During the race for the puck, I cut off an oncoming forward. He kind of stumbled over my shin guard as I beat him to the puck. He didn't even go down, but I still got a tripping penalty, haha.
It was ridiculous, but I couldn't even be that mad as I found it kind of humorous.

I'll be dl'ing this patch tonight and looking forward to it.
I still need to pick a team, but I'm leaning towards the Canadiens.
One question (it's been a while since I've played GM mode in this series), but can I start a season at the 2016 draft and then edit the selections?
I'm basically asking if I can pick a team and force Auston Matthews on my club?

Still haven't fixed the cumulative goals in GM mode....
