This information was confirmed by Mike Bohn, who covers the MMA and NBA for USA TODAY, MMAjunkie, Rolling Stone and other publications, as noted in his Twitter bio. He plans to write up a story on his recent trip to EA sometime this week. We'll be sure to post the link when it becomes available.

  • Oleksiy Oliynyk
  • Rustam Khabilov
  • Ali Bagautinov
  • Rashid Magomedov
  • Albert Tumenov
  • Aljamain Sterling
  • Thomas Almeida
  • Kailin Curran
  • Al Iaquinta
  • Derek Brunson
  • Dennis Bermudez
  • Lorenz Larkin
  • Neil Magny
  • Thiago Alves
  • Alan Jouban
  • Ben Saunders
  • Oliveir Aubin-Mercier
  • Gil Burns
  • Yancy Medeiros
  • Alex Caceres
  • Justin Scoggins
  • Rafael Natal
  • Robert Whittaker
  • Corey Anderson
  • Pat Cummins
  • Rampage Jackson
  • Ryan Laflare
  • Thiago Alves

I've asked EA if I can talk about or release the names of a few other fighters. I'll let you know when they respond.

I told you. You are going to have trouble finding active UFC fighters that you need to create.

I can't wait to see the full list so I can start getting my spreadsheets together.

Even still, hope the CAF system is much better this year in regards to numbers.

It's probably asking a lot, but with this many fighters maybe not. But can I get Seohee Ham, please?

Mike Bohn also just said that the only notable omission is Sage Northcutt and that he will be available in the first free DLC. Incredible. So excited

It'll probably take them a while to program Sage's 'company man' post fight speeches into the game

Looks like a great roster. I need to get cracking on my Python UFC manager if I'm going to keep track of this many fighters.

I'll say this with the hopes if doesnt get me in trouble. The last version I saw had more CAF slots than UFC 1. Just not as many as I want and I'm going to keep asking them to add more.

What is that?

The big roster has me changing how I run my league. I used to have 5-6 fights per card. With this many fighters (plus any CAFs I make), I'm probably going to have to do 10 fights a card to ensure that fighters get to fight more than twice a year.

That's incredible news!
One thing I hope comes with this roster increase is the elimination of the need to group 2-3 weight classes together online.

I'm trying to code basically a beefed up version of my current UFC spreadsheet in Python, both as a tool for the game and to help me learn Python. I made a little progress before Fallout, JC3 and Battlefront happened but it is nowhere near usable yet. Looks like I have till spring...

I hope that that is true, but I also hope they let us do mixed weight class fights between adjacent classes offline.

Event mode has mixed classes offline. I dont believe that is the case with exhibitions.

It seems odd that they wouldn't put it in exhibition if it is in event mode, but I'll mostly be using event mode anyway so it's overall good news.

If you can say, are the 'mixed classes' the same as online mixed classes? I doubt they're open weight, as much fun as that was in the THQ game that had that bug, haha.

Combine the 250+ fighters with Skynet and aholbert32's quotes on:
- Better situational awareness
- Improved tendencies system
- Better assigned movesets (more animations/moves)
- Fighting style templates and the ability to have more than one assigned to fighter AI

and this is shaping up to be my dream single player experience.
