NHL 16 Roster Update Released, Now Includes Rookies

Now that the top rookies in the game have played in an NHL game, the silly rule that officially makes rookies "official" in the NHL means we now have the likes of Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel included in the game.

We have not yet had the chance to dig too deep into this roster update, so let us know what else you find. If you're looking for where to download the roster, you'll want to head to the "customize" area, and from there you will have the option to download the latest roster to tweak to your liking.

Keep your eyes open everyone. For the last few years, a lot of Euro league prospects got deleted after the first roster update.

Just FYI - roster update is only for NHL 16. No update for NHL Legacy yet.

Blues rosters are good from what I've checked.

It was only an update for NHL... AHL hasn't been updated, CHL is the same... several OHL players that are in the AHL are still with OHL teams and several players missing from AHL rosters.

Hopefully it won't take too long for the signed missing NCAA players to appear in the AHL rosters.

Anders Nilsson and Kyle Baun are the only players that made opening night rosters for their respective teams that weren't added. The NHL update looks okay with some rating changes and rookies added and contracts updated but everything else looks the same.

Pronger is still on Arizona.

Edmunson on Blues is listed as a righty; he's lefthanded.

No Anders Nilsson.

Heres a few I checked

Mcdavid EDM looks great !
Eichel BUFF might not have a photo but his face looks accurate not sure on hair
Lindberg NYR looks perfect
Gustaffson Bost G has dead wing gear colors and is bald .
Domi Pho looks bad almost like a old Sean Avery
Panarin Chi looks old ? and should have long hair .

All and all not bad and Ill post more later but EA please add a roster /slider share for 2017 .

Update : Larkin Det has the same face as Eichel
Puempel Otta has the old man Sean Avery face
Virtanen Vanc in RL is blond haired blue eyed and Bald in NHL 16 ?

Who are you creating and what are your plans?

I just made Schmaltz and have him as a 71 ovr, low Top 4 potential.

I boosted Fabbri to a 77 and Parayko to a 78 as well.

No kidding! They have his picture on NHL.com so Its kind of lazy that they didn't include it.

Also, no Larkin or Hanafin pics either. I haven't gone through all the rookies they added but I'd bet none of them have pics. William Nylander on the leafs, who was drafted in 2014 also doesn't have his picture. Thats just lazy.

Sounds like this update was strictly for online ranked games using NHL teams. Players are there. But the users don't care for detail. Hopefully there's another one next week or so with AHL, CHL and NHL more in depth. Who knows though.

Well, this is a bummer to hear. I'm guessing that this update doesn't include prospects that weren't in the game last year (played in the NCAA) and are playing in the CHL or AHL. I'm going to look tonight and hope there aren't many I'd have to create, otherwise it sounds like I'm waiting another few weeks for Be a GM :/

Also on Arizona , Anthony Duclair's weight is wrong. Listed at 159 he should be 185.
