NBA 2K16: Pro-Am is Here, And It Was Worth the Wait

At long last, NBA 2K16's highly anticipated Pro-Am Mode was made available yesterday thanks to the game's latest patch. And I must say, it was worth the wait.

For those unaware, Pro-Am was completely broken when 2K16 launched on September 25. Players were unable to join a game and try out the mode. In addition, players on the east and west coast could not join each other's games. Operation Sports knocked the game's final review score down a notch due to the issue.

so I was successfully able to get into another game in like 2 mins-- but I had to enter it from the MyCareer screen, instead of the main menu

Is it possible it's quicker to find games through there? Where do you guys normally enter the pro am mode from, MyCareer or the main menu?

Honestly I can't believe you guys are messing around so much with walk-ons.. That shlt sounds terrible.. Just find 2 other guys to team up with and join the Pro-Am as a team, done. Game after game after game in a minute or less

if you join with only 2 more users, they will likely load out of position.

None of the effects play when they are supposed to in my Pro Am Arena.

i found the fix for nba 2k15 ps4 not starting,you have to delete the game install and then reinstall it and update it,then get through the heat spurs game and everything will work again.

What system are you playing on? On PS4 if you click the option to play as a team and it will load as match-making. Be sure to pick the right option before starting the game in-case your wondering why your getting the player searching screen. Hope I helped a bit.

I noticed that on the PS4. Ten minutes after the patch release we were loading instantly into games. No got next like being a walk-on. However, that leaderboard and the stats displayed had us in the party angry. Even the overalls were screwed up and we all played the correct positions. At least the win-loss is correct?

	I agree and disagree. Having rep for this mode would be convenient but it has nothing to do with the park and the accolades you get. Rep is just for bragging rights. I made Legend last year. Aside from one or two gameplay boost, you spend hours grinding just to brag, take your shirt off and activate goofy dances. The reward does not match the effort required to reach it. Nah it is setup a bit slower. Your player feels heavier. I would blame lag but at the same time if you have the speed, height, etc. advantage this mode is the place to use it.

And you can still have that. But implement Rep. There's a perspective that somehow if they implement Rep that it will become "cheese". That is absolutely not the case and I cringe everytime I hear somebody say that. Gameplay determines cheese, and right now the gameplay in Pro-Am is perfect. Having people gain rep for playing won't change that.

It would be very simple to implement some sort of Rep system. If the players in your squad are all from that same affiliation, then you gain some sort of Rep repping that affiliation in a Pro-Am game.

I'm just happy Ronnie2K and LD2K said on their stream Tuesday that they'll talk to the devs about implementing rep in Pro-Am, as it was much requested by the comments. Because as much as people say they are two complete separate game modes, they are not. You are even wearing your Park clothing right there in Walk-On games!

Hell, they even have a Pro-Am billboard in MyPark.
