I didn't really notice much difference at all. I'm just glad they didn't break things. Let's hope it stays that way with the next update they do.

So you're telling me that the cpu crossing and heading inside the box is the same?
Provide numbers for what? Haven't I posted that possession stats are more balanced now?
The stats are within my testing games. More goals for HUM from shooting. Less goals from headers. Go back to vanilla game and you'll see that it's way easier to score headers from corners.
For now you just criticize without even testing the 2 environments by yourself.
This part is spot on. Definitely tuned the header success rate down for human. It was easy to score pre-patch. Extremely difficult, now. CPU defense in the box is a lot tougher now, too, and nobody can tell me any differently on THAT. I dreaded the patch, but I'm actually enjoying it.

So if nobody can tell you differently why do you care what people tell you at all? You nailed it, my friend.

I don't need to test nor to I want to. I'm observing the behavior on this forum and seeing that everybody is noticing the same variations I've always seen. So, on that alone, business as usual.
I'm not talking about sliders. I played pre-patch on default sliders, the same way I play now post patch. I already have posted my opinion about sliders in the community sliders thread.
This is a patch impressions thread. Just delete it then. Let's have the first post saying: "Ok guys GK rushing is tweaked" and lock it. Or even better have just the changelog by EA because EA knows better...
Don't get me wrong, I understand completely your point but I still think that posting all these observations is better than nothing.

I agree that the observations are great. As long as they are presented as such and it's acknowledged that this game already plays differently for everybody. There should be an implied disclaimer in everybody's head.

And my experience has been the polar opposite of this. Lol!

This right here.

This is why I can't make one single slider adjustment. Running default sliders.

It's not oh boy match to match the CPU is being so tactical this is amazing.

It's more just like oh this match passing works, oh this match crossing works, oh this match CPU is faster than me, this one neither team can shoot, this one through ball works better and on and on. There really isn't any rhyme or reason to it. I guess this makes it more interesting as going into a match you never know which controls or control methods will be nerfed or op but it's just a bizarre way to present variety.

People can TELL me anything they want. Doesn't mean I have to agree with it. That's what opinions are. I enjoy reading everyone's experiences, but at the end of the day, the only experience that COUNTS is our own PERSONAL experience with the game.

Exactly. I wasn't being sarcastic.

In about 20 matches post patch, can't say I've seen a difference.

My possession stats are trending pretty much the same pre and post patch.

I score about the same number of headers pre and post patch.

I score about the same number of goals pre and post patch.

I concede approx the same number of headers from the CPU pre and post patch.

I tend to have about the same number of tackles pre and post patch.

The CPU defense around it's own box is just as stingy post patch as it was pre patch for me.

My teammates are just as helpful/unhelpful post patch as they were pre patch.

I see no difference with pace or inertia.

The biggest difference Matt10 said when he first played the post patch game is that the AI is humanized - I see the same opposition AI as pre patch.

Ultimately, while individual games can feel different, the overall trend of my matches post patch seem right in-line with pre patch trends.

Read my post in the OS community sliders thread so you can fix your game. It is worth it.

Sounds like real life?

I think people get so engrossed in things, that they forget real life variables like momentum, atmosphere, chemistry, etc. all affect things on the pitch. Not saying that's the case here, but it's not always that the 'better rated' team just by default always does things better than the lesser.

Did anybody restart their career? I don't want to but will if there is a difference in gameplay.

Yes, the patch came at the time where I had already failed my first season at Liverpool and got fired, so I started over with a new save. See my earlier post for what I think.

Sure.

Ozil always complains about one match where he passes and it goes towards who he wanted it to and then the next match he plays the same pass and it goes sideways and backwards.

He blames his boots though.

And there was that one time when Inter had the flu and everyone on Roma was faster than everyone on Inter. Glad EA replicated that.

You bastards! You just made me spit coffee all over my monitor.

I'll add that the game played terrible for me post patch with my custom sliders. I went back to default and they game plays great again. So I think they did make some improvements to default. And all our custom sliders were just mucking things up. Those first few games with my custom sliders post patch were awful.

I haven't looked, but I'm guessing we still can't edit players to be a CM. Only CDM or CAM. I haven't created a player, yet, so I duno if the problem exists there, too, or not. This is something that really needs fixed.

Nope. Same CAP options as always, except adding undershirt for the shirt options
