I know what I want to believe but with people's interpretations so different, just gotta wait and see...
Spoiler alert: Neither thing is true. They didn't touch gameplay other than GK ability/AI. The placebo effect is strong with sports games.

I can guarantee you they changed a lot more than just goalkeepers. Ask Matt...

PC users, do you have match practice on your FIFA 16?

Not the 1v1 arena, although you get to practice match from there.

I am hoping so much there was no pc practice match, but when you go look it is there now, which would mean there would be a high chance the console patch enables this feature.

Same goes for Highlights of the week. Did that game mode return?

It was a toggle option from the kickoff tile in 15 and 14.

Clearly, my favorite thing so far about FIFA 16: for the first time since I can remember, there is time on ball. On Slow, you can play the game patiently in terms of tactics and movement. Awesome.

You've played it?

Gotta be honest, I really like the update. Moving from console to PC, the game felt loose initially (as in not as responsive as I would like). I find the game is much more similar to the consoles now. It feels tighter and dribbling and passing are much improved.

The CPU still builds up and there are plenty of midfield battles. I'm really not sure what people are disliking about the changes. But everyone has their own expectations.

I haven't been able to finish a single UT game i get dropped at the end. I saw a lot of people on ea forums had that issue I wonder if this patch will fixed that?

If not i might just try to get my money back for the game. I haven't even been able to play and i only got fifa for ut and pro clubs

It's a crazy world when your 2K online experience has been better than EA's. So far i've barely had any issues with 2k's online

Very valid point Matt, and for the record I am not unpleased with the patch. My point was more that bashing EA is not gonna make them listen. Constructive feedback is cool... I was trying to stop before it started all the "EA does not care" stuff... They just have a lot of feedback.

Anyhow, on point the patch seems fine to me. Though I play on PS4 and do not have the patch there yet. But from playing it on PC at a friends it seems good and the twitch feeds I watched seem to have no issues. I am looking forward to the patch and if I dislike it no big... Things can be deleted as easily as installed, well faster actually.

I was also trying to point out that far more people play FUT than are offline MM sim nuts like myself. I kinda have to be realistic and realise they are trying to please everyone but the majority will be priority. And that seems fair.

All that said FIFA 16 is currently my favorite game of all time any genre. Though I agree that is a lot of views...

I still stand by my post that speaking directly to EA is going to be heard more than a post in a giant thread hoping they come read it. No disrespect. OS is by far the only gaming forum worth using. Glad they listened. And for the record I have always believed EA listens to feedback and is great folks doing all they can to make great games. Are they perfect?, no, and fairly what one wants patched maybe is something another loves left alone as it is.

Do not ignore this though Sprite, go on Futhead (Fifa's home for fut lovers basically) and look at the top comment on the latest patch. http://news.futhead.com/posts/fifa-1...comment-sort=r

Even the Fut lovers wanted pace to be nipped. Even they want a realistic game, at least it seems like the majority of them. More people might want a sim experience than you think

Facebook - meh

Twitter - where are my coins/player, fut is broken, gameplay won't pass, how come my header is opposite? Why 15 not like 16? Why disconnect on my console?

EA forum - game is broken, why am I banned? How much is aguerro worth?

I have never seen a game more shallowly discussed.
Realist thing I think I've ever read.

I love this game and the gameplay...

Quite a few matches after the patch, yes. It plays no differently than it did before the patch, at least on default sliders.

Since the patch I'm able to keep possession more. Teams seem to have a bit more character now, not all teams play like Barca anymore. I don't know, maybe it's just the placebo effect but it does feel different and better.

Yeah, happens every year with every patch, lol. Particularly with soccer games, because they can be so dynamic from match to match, and there are so many settings (or sliders) that can be changed constantly. They are specific with what they changed, in this case the only gameplay change is goalkeepers, but people will always swear there are other differences. People reading "general stability improvements" as anything other than fixes to prevent the game from crashing are really stretching with semantics.

I have to apologize to a degree for my initial post about the patch.
First of all, the update is not compatible with a previous saved career. Something is messed up and the game speed is like 2x times faster. A new career fixed the problem.
Then the more direct passing, especially by teams like Everton, results to a feel that the game speed is faster. Also the responsiveness is better.
That said, my impression for the update was somewhat faulty.
There also new AI parameters and the team momentum has a bigger impact now. Go down 0-2 and your players will have trouble coming back and you feel it on the pitch.
World Class is a beast. Fellow OS members that had problems with the vanilla game on WC I think they'll be more disappointed. I haven't tried Pro but there's a big possibility the AI improvements will give more challenge in that difficulty compared to pre-patch game. I play WC, 15 min, pass speed at 45 for CPU is a must.
There's also a new AI coding regarding the "last pass" on the final third. Now CPU makes many bad passes on the final third of the pitch and that's amazing to see.
Human headers are more balanced now and nerfed.
CPU is extremely dangerous in corners and crosses especially when their forwards are good in heading (Norwich for example). Play them and you'll have a tough time in aerial defense.

No. You are completely wrong, again. Futhead is a site run by Dave Bryant and Tom Mills -- they are sim enthusiasts and push sim gameplay on that site. The futhead site community support dave Bryant's sim push. They are definitely not the casual fut player.
