PES 2016 News Post

With FIFA and PES now being available in some capacity (PES has been released, FIFA is on EA Access), we wanted to show off a video of both games in similar environments (FIFA version is here).

We went with a Champions League rematch between A.S. Roma and FC Barcelona. The PES game is played on Professional difficulty with the game speed set to minus-one. Fluid formations are on as well.

If you watch the video, you'll find some time stamps in the description below the video that might help you out.

Quick Question Chase,

Can the PES game only be played at night in the rain? Why not keep the same variables/constants across both games?

I don't think you can play the CL in daytime in PES.

I think you're right, but the rain as well? If so, that stinks.

Fair point, could have kept everything absolutely the same. Champions League just defaulted me to night in PES. I actually don't know about the rain, but don't see why not. The video was more to see how Barcelona played in both games rather than the pitch conditions was my thought.

I believe that's all the tweaks, and I just messed with my team so if fluid formations were on for the CPU it would be by their own doing. Otherwise I think shooting is on Advanced, I changed the controls to more FIFA style so my mind doesn't melt when I switch between the two. There may be one or two other Manual options messed with, but gameplay-wise the game speed being at minus-one was the only tweak.

CL games are always at night. You can choose the weather, the grass length and the humidity of the pitch.

1 foul the entire game, no fouls by the CPU in that video. That really hurts the game for me , at least commentary is a lot better .

I believe there were two fouls (both against Messi), but yeah, not many. And yes, none by the CPU.

I played a few games last night inbetween editing sessions and didn't have many issues with fouls playing on Superstar and World Class.( New to PES, so whatever the two levels Besides the hardest is)

I did however only draw a card 1 time during the handful of games. Did land some free kicks and even an penalty.

It sucks because while FIFA doesn't have that many fouls(more than PES) they make realistic fouls . I love the PES 2016 demo and assume the full game is great but I can't stand games without fouls , it just kills it for me. I like my games as sim based as possible
