NBA 2K16 News Post

Continuing our series of NBA 2K16 gameplay videos, we have another Chicago Bulls and Memphis Grizzlies video for you to check out. This one is a bit shorter than the last one, but shows the opening tip and opening moments of the game. The big thing I'm noticing in this one is the sidelines and how alive they look. Check out the action from Memphis and be sure to comment on what you see in the video!

You can also watch the video on our YouTube page. Feel free to Subscribe while you're there if you want.

We have to see if this kind of animation (missed layup and not getting a foul called) is a tendency or not. I'm Ok.. With this thing happening once or two in game.
True words. I'm admittedly a little guarded on the issue because even with the limited amount of time I had with 2K15, that exact situation popped up enough times to be frustrating. If they've capped it a bit, that'll be cool, but I thought it was a worthy observation nonetheless.

If a foul were committed there, I feel as though it should have been one that still would have given Rose a pretty clean takeoff and possibly very good chance of making the basket, since no one was in front of him or between him and basket.

That angle with that positioning from the offensive and defensive players usually results in two points at the rim in real life, or at least a player getting to the rim while being fouled from behind. Again, not a game-breaker, but certainly frustrating when it's happened to me.
legacy issues seem to come from groupthink
or people not seeing the things long time fans
see and ignoring sim fanatics "nitpicking" 2k.
i really wish whoever affects these changes
would fix legacy issues before this release.
it is great they at least seem to improve things
instead of becoming complacent but playing
since Iverson was on the cover and seeing
improvements mixed with legacy issues is
frustrating like they see these flaws and keep
them in as an inside joke or something...

I Dont like how that crossover at :43 propelled jimmy butler forward into hyperspeed. I remember people constantly using it in 2k15.

Player models look huge, I understand 2K art direction even during DreamCast days was to have gigantic figures as models. The problem I see with this is that it doesn't translate well for animations, thus making game look slower and clunky instead of explosive. Not a game breaker I'm definitely picking this up the 25th.

Like offense, defense can get hot. The hotter the player gets he has a higher chance of stealing or blocking a shot.

I meant where the shot meter would be on offense... As I watch more, it seems to be a defensive position indicator???

That's handy

The body scans make a huge difference . I noticed some foot planting too. But I agree I don't like that layup animation by Rose but it is what it is . Conley is a good defender

after rewatching mike wang explain everything
in the "living world video" i can see alot of what
they did or tried to implement into this game.
gotta have faith that a brand that has listened
to it's fans (not all the time but, it's something)
will eventually get to the issues major & minor.
this might be their greatest effort yet and i am
impatiently waiting to see if this is what i hope for.
