NBA 2K16: MyCAREER NBA Details and Off-Day Simulator Video

By now you’ve hopefully watched the MyCAREER trailer and read about Spike Lee’s involvement in the process. But what happens after all that? Lee’s story starts at the beginning, but ends just as you make it to the NBA.

So we pick it up with the Off-Day Simulator, one the newest additions to NBA 2K16. You will have upwards of 80 off days during each season, which should give you ample time to still participate in random activities that relate to your MyCAREER.

You have to think of the MyCAREER mode as an RPG. You grind to earn xp/cash, level up, and unlock new abilities.

or see banners go up and stay up would be awesome.
when will commentary AI remember you're 3peating
or turned a bottom ranked team into a dynasty?
how about continuing my career like CFM and
chasing your prior characters legacy? babysteps, i guess.

The MyCareer can have a season lenght of 14,29, or 58 games?

some RPG aspects I like, such as unlocking better attributes.

Others, like having to grind to get accessories and now new jersey options, I was never a fan of. It just seemed lame and we never even had to grind for them in previous versions of the game.

Yea, I cringed when I saw that NBA Live 16 was forcing you to reach a certain attribute level in order to unlock a pair of shoes.

I'm disappointed that 2K seems to be following that same path for shoes/accessories.

I am hoping being able to create your own shoes and wearing them in MC will still be possible. Unless we have to unlock the specific shoe first before we are able to customize them or equip them to our player.

Still geeked we finally get to change jerseys. Hopefully, it doesn't take too long to unlock that.

. As a mainly MC guy, all this is music to my ears. If all is implemented well, this mode won't look as boring and plain as it's looked lately. I can't wait to get started!

Wow... I literally feel like 2k found all of my posts and listened to everything I said...

In 23 years of gaming, I have never been so excited for a game, I feel like everything lines up with what I've wanted, more defense, Crew in a sense, private courts, practice your game to make your game better... This is insane... I feel like a 13 yr old girl about to meet justin beiber.
