NBA 2K16 Adds '07-'08 Boston Celtics & '12-'13 Miami Heat to List of Classic Teams

2K Sports has added the '07-'08 Boston Celtics (previously revealed) and '12-'13 Miami Heat to the list of classic teams in NBA 2K16.

There will be 12 new classic teams added this year, 8 of them have now been confirmed.

Here is the list of confirmed classic teams so far:

'12-'13 Miami Heat
'03-'04 Detroit Pistons
'07-'08 Houston Rockets
'99-'00 Toronto Raptors
'07-08 Boston Celtics
'00-'01 Los Angeles Lakers
'02-'03 Dallas Mavericks
'99-'00 Portland Trail Blazers

Two more teams will be revealed next Thursday.

I don't have a problem with the addition (12-13 Heat )but we really didn't get a chance to miss them lol . The more the merrier though .

You're right sir. Fun supposed to be the number 1 factor deciding on which teams to put but you know how 2k promotes myteam.

Don't get me wrong I'm glad they're in.

When you play online too much you automatically start thinking about the bs you'll gonna face with certain players.

I think it'd be pretty cool to see more squads from the 60's and 70's, especially if the care was given to each team's details like we saw in 2K12 (accessories, no three-point line if opted, rules, basket stanchions). It could be a pretty awesome experience. Personally, the '77 76ers got a lot of run from me when some roster creators were able to whip together their Finals opponent - the '77 Trail Blazers.

That said, I'm not dying for their inclusion at this point. Sometimes I have to remind myself just how awesome it is to have the teams we do - the Bad Boys Pistons, Michael Jordan's Bulls, the '04 Pistons, David Robinson's Spurs, Dominique Wilkins... it's all pretty freaking awesome.

I don't play online much because I know it will take my enjoyment out of the game. I feel you though.

Now that I think about it more, 2k choosing the 2012-13 Heat over the 2005-06 Heat is a mistake. Anyone that still has 2K13/14 could still go back and use that team. I haven't used the '06 Heat team since 2k7/8.

Lol, I also think 2K has a problem with D-Wade. First they gave his Onyx card an average 93 rating which is way too low for his standards. Dude was the best in '09, putting up 30/5/7/49% with elite defense while carrying a team with 2 rookie starters and a rookie head coach to the playoffs. Imo, should've been the MVP but LBJ was a beast. And now have a past his prime version of him from '13 (put up 21/5/5/52%FG with great defense) even though everyone was asking for the '06 team.

07-08 Celtics were a good team, but are they and the 12-13 Heat really classic teams? I don't see how any of the players on the 12-13 Heat team being that much different from the players they are today...

4 teams left, all from the last 15 years. I think saying "last 15 years" is key in that Ronnie2k tweet.

My guesses:

Kidd's Nets either 01/02 or 02/03

Nash's Suns any year from 04-07

Sac Kings from 01-02, which will have Webber (Webber will also be the new color guy and that's why this team is in - pure guess)

And probably a Spurs team, either 04-05 or 06-07
