EA Sports has released a Madden Ultimate Team primer of sorts that breaks down the general core of the mode, as well as what's new for this season.
Most of the info you'll find there is stuff we already knew in one way or the other. We knew about Draft Champions, and the fact that the UI would be getting improved and so on. However, I'm still going to bullet point out the new stuff to help MUT fans out:
-Solo Challenges and completing sets of collections has been made easier and more streamlined. This means you can now pick up where you left off with Solo Challenges, and you can quick sell 100 cards now rather than 20 to clear out space in your binder for more cards. In particular, the collecting aspect in MUT has been a train wreck of sorts for years, and since MUT is the most collect-heavy of the Ultimate Team modes, this sort of improvement should hopefully help ease that issue.
-Objectives will take a bigger role throughout MUT. Objectives were just used when you started the mode -- again similar to most other Ultimate Team modes -- but now these will be expanded. So you will have objectives you can complete throughout the season for additional rewards.
-Solo Challenges can now take place at times and locations other than 1 p.m. at your home stadium.
-There will now be scenario games, which is to say these will be "Ultimate Moments" where you get to re-enact the most iconic moments from the ongoing NFL season. In other words, you get to re-do real-life scenarios week to week during the 2015 NFL season.
-The MUT Gauntlet has been exapnded, and the Solo Challenges you play at launch will get tougher and tougher as you progress.
