Thanks for the video!

Why did they cut to only his face at the 11:30 mark? i wanted to see the celebration, not his facial hair lol

WOW.

The defensive line moving as a unit.

The spaces are covered.

Players moving off the ball and showing to.

Fouls.

Defensive line not following attackers into the box.

Is this FIFA? PES...please take notes.

"Great way to train up youth players."

I saw this mentioned elsewhere. You reckon he was eluding to actual YA players, or just 'younger' players on the senior squad?

It looked tremendous, I was really pleased with what I saw. It seemed like all of the faults we worked so hard to correct last year were fixed and then some. I was really happy to see the defenders working together to close off space in the danger areas.

It looks great, but I feel like I was watching it in fast-forward. I hope we're able to slow that down.

Edit: Ok. The second video posted looked a little slower. Thank goodness. Guess they were just playing at a faster speed on the first one.

Nothing quite like watching someone endlessly sprint to the corner and hit crosses with Messi. The good part is that it didn't look like it worked too well and neither did long through balls. Midfielders/defenders looked pretty solid at tracking runs and cutting off obvious passes.

I really hope that they show some career mode footage. Would love to see if they've changed the menus and also if transfers happen more often..

Oh, just wait until the FUT guys start complaining about the game and then EA tailoring to their needs by releasing patches ruining it yet again.

Only watched a clip of the video but if you two liked it, that's a good sign.

Holy crap. That looked fantastic. I'm super excited to play this now. The cpu defense was great. They worked as a unit to block up space. They were cutting off passes on their own. The keeper was tracking shots much better than before. It looked really good. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

Looks good. Doesn't seem as easy to create chances, which FUTers will no doubt hate. Playing the CPU might actually be consistently fun again.

Damn, haven't been impressed like this by one of these videos in forever. Not that impressed by the PES videos, but I'll get both (despite hating what both are doing with exclusive licensing). FIFA looks to have an advantage so far.

IDK, around the 16:20 mark the Chelsea guy has Costa bearing down on the Barca goal. He's (Costa) not charging head down and Barca's backline and CDM are backing off. Mascherano tracks Willian's run (which is good) until he isn't a threat any more but Pique and Busquets back off and ultimately block his shot.

Apart from that instance defenders were really engaged and trying to cut off lanes and block shots/passes. Really made a difference in terms of creating chances which has been far too easy in FIFA for far too long. Pretty solid first video. A LOT of good things in there.

PES looks more or less the same as last year, on the pitch at least and for me that's a disappointment. FIFA on the other hand chose to fix it faults by using sound football fundamentals, and improving the footballing logic. I am well and truly impressed. NGB gave PES it's sports game of the show, and I strongly disagree with that, FIFA for me looks by far the better game, from a footballing standpoint.

No idea why you're getting excited. The first video just displays the major problem with FIFA. It's a sprinting fest, sprinting around like a headless chicken goes unpunished and I hate it. I truly hope the defending is as good as it looks in the videos so I won't have to sprint my players back to their position because the CPU keeps making them wander off. It also looks WAY too fast. Say what you will about PES but the pace is spot on there. Although in the second video the pace of the game looks closer to real life. It might still have to be slowed down though. What bothers me in FIFA is that there's no way to walk with the ball, it immideatly throws you into this jogging animation which is way too fast too. One positive is that the CPU didn't seem to run in circles anymore, although this might be different on legendary. I want to see a full game with a competent player (someone who doesn't sprint all of his players outof position chasing the ball like a pitbull) against legendary CPU with game speed set on slow.

The PES videos so far have looked more arcadey than FIFA in terms of pace. The human vs human videos have been painful to watch.

Very disappointed as I was looking to buy PES for the first time.

FIFA just looks like the more complete product. And I know fouls will be called.

In PES, you can only hope.
