FIFA 16 News Post

FIFA 16 is getting several new enhancements to its presentation this year, with the most notable new addition being the inclusion of an authentic Bundesliga presentation package. The German Bundesliga will have its own authentic overlay package that will mirror broadcast matches.

Other Notable Feature Additions Include
  • Over 450 new or updated player heads, the most ever for a FIFA title.
  • In addition to Premier League players and Women's National Teams, many FUT legends were authentically scanned.
  • Stadiums now support a much wider variety of weather options, with nine available: sunny, overcast, rain, snow, hazy, partly cloudy, foggy, random variable rain showers and variable flurries.
  • Over 900 new chants captured from grounds around the world. Some of the new chants include PSG's "Allez Paris" and Liverpool's "When the Reds Go Marching In."
  • Vanishing spray from referees will be implemented during dead ball situations.
  • You can now celebrate by running to the nearest cameraman for a close-up or make a dash to the subs bench and celebrate with off-field teammates.
  • Commentators will remark on key storylines of your season -- including notable player or team performances, big player debuts, and transfer rumors. In-game graphics and commentary will also pick up on interesting team stats for matches, and reference the wider context of league standings.
  • Commentary continues to expand in FIFA, with commentary options included in Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Latin American Spanish, Japanese, Polish, Dutch, and an all-new Russian commentary team.

So far no new leagues have been announced. The Bundesliga did not get the same treatment as the BPL last year as only one stadium has been added and there is no confirmation of a league scan of players. EA has also lost the rights to the EURO tournament and the chance to add more stadiums from France. What should be the best sports game in the world has fallen way behind NBA 2k and is in danger of falling behind PES, but of course all the cash that EA rakes in from FUT has blinded them to this.

As someone said yesterday, might as well call this game BPL 16. Its inexcusable for EA not to give the Bundesliga, and arguably the best league in Europe, La Liga, the same treatment as the BPL. Out of these two leagues, only one stadium was added and La Liga didn't get a presentation update, whereas there was no problem adding the stadiums of the three promoted teams in the BPL. I know the BPL is the most popular but the Bundesliga average the most fans at games and La Liga is the best. Show them all some love EA.

The one thing I don't understand is why they keep scanning the same players every goddamn year instead of scanning players that were left behind in the last years.

I dont care if Ronaldos Hair is a few inch shorter than last year. The overall graphics will suck if even the best teams in the world like Bayern, Dortmund, Paris etc. still have players that look totally weird because they didnt use scan them or even tried to make them look realistic.

E.g. Star players of La Liga and Bundesliga with totally wrong skin and hair color.

But yeah...keep scanning Chelsea, Real and Man City every goddamn year and forget about the rest of the world...

I had a dream going into this year we’d get tons of Bundesliga stadiums and specific branding, and I’m pleasantly happy that one of them has occurred. Will make using a German team in career mode more fun.

Added weather options are also a nice touch.

German Bundesliga is my favorite league, so this news is great for me.

Finally Portugal got some love with the commentary team ! They removed it on the next gen releases until now ! Still, I can´t understand why Estádio do Dragăo or Estádio da Luz aren´t in the game .. Porto is one of the biggest teams in Europe!

Speaking of commentary, I'm assuming the options depend on what version of the game you have again.

It's been years since the North American version had anything but English, Spanish, and French.

I do recall years ago, FIFA 12 perhaps, where they made commentary language packs available as DLC. Would love that again.

I didnt buy FIFA 12 but yeah that sounds like a great idea. Here in Portugal usually the game has lots of options but i bought this year's games through eBay and you're right, there was almost no languages besides english and french
