I'm loving the new controls. Much more control over what your goalie's doing.
I played butterfly and managed like a 2.5 GAA in 4 games. I must admit I only played like 10 games as goalie (online) before in my life, so I didn't have old habits to change. I did play some offline be a pro goalie though.
Basically, think about your left hand being the position controls, and right hand being the save controls. After 2-3 games I felt better. I just practiced my positioning and t-pushes moves all game when the puck was out of our zone. Hug post, butterfly push to the cross side, small movements like in JTG's videos, etc.
But yeah, good teams would have destroyed me for sure. I got lucky and faced easy opposition. Still, I had a ton of fun.
And it's pretty tough to leave the post and do a t-push to the other side with the lag, 95% of the goals against me were passes I couldn't track and stay squared on. I think EA's gonna have to buff the goalies or fix the lag because it's very hard to track the puck like the computers goalie do.
Also, is it me or I can't turn on the blue arrow (online position indicator)??
I believe visual aids are in settings. They were changeable at the start of the beta when you first loaded up, but I'm sure they're also in options.
Its not available. It wasn't there for NHL 15 (PS4/XB1) and it doesn't seem to be there in 16. I tried all the settings. I don't know what to think of it because I'm going alright without it but the 'comfort factor' isn't there.
