I wonder if it's like last year when you changed the controls . You could change the controls to use L2 for shots and post shots with the right stick .

Also, Why is there a pass/touch pass on defense? Typo I supposed unless someone can explain that to me?

Touch passing is in 15 and it does work well just gotta be quick . It's harder to do online though it doesn't always register with the lag . But offline it works 90% of the time for me

Nice

-Improve dunk control option one-hand- two hand
-Added verticality contests which has been asked in wishlists by me and plenty of people and it looks like there is better contest controls
-Advanced pick controls sound improved as well

Am still not a fan of using the right analog stick on defense to cut off ball handler with side stepping...would have prefered tapping the charge button while using the left analog stick for the direction of the cut off

IMO i still think that all movements of the legs should be on the left analog stick and all of the arms on the right

I wonder what goes into the decision process for the controls every year. It seems to me that the biggest difference is that they moved the different passes to the face buttons. I primarily use icon passing because I too often pass it to the wrong player with directional passing. They also put the post up button onto LT which I can understand because the Y/ Triangle button is used for passing.

Also I really wish they would just take the charge button out. They've done a lot to curtail the effectiveness of the charge cheese but the only people I see use the charge button are people who charge cheese. It's not particularly difficult to avoid, it's just that some people spam the button the whole game. This ends up becoming a huge annoyance, ruining the entire game sometimes. The truth is that though there might be a small minority that use it properly (and it can be effective when used properly) it is mainly used to annoy and draw cheap turnovers.

Some interesting changes and improvements here. Sounds good on paper hopefully they pan out in game.

On another note 2k can we get some official information on this game from you? Most of the important information we know has been through leaks. The only official stuff I have seen from 2k has been about the soundtrack, covers, and teases for other features and modes. It's almost August now can we atleast get a screenshot?

I don't mind the right analogue stuck for this but I do mind when the game - even offline - takes that right stick input as a full court shot attempt as the ball lightning fast turns over in the paint. Kind of a punishment for playing good defense under the rim and forcing a turnover.

My forever ongoing demand to seperate SQUARE(R3) = shoot and SQAURE(R3)+R2 = drive still hasn't been fullfilled.

You can't pull up properly and sometimes when you wanna make a hard drive they pull up.

They give us tons of options with passig, we can decide to dunk 1 or 2 handed but not weather we wanna drive or shoot.

Is that what people use it for? To cut off the ball handler? I've always just used it as a quick position adjustment. To kind of center myself between the rim and the ball handler.

Man, I'm gonna have to readjust to the post up being moved to a shoulder button again. I'm good with it as long as it frees up more options & controls though.

My only real concern is Points of Emphasis seem to be making a return, which is fine in itself as long as your CPU coach actually manages your strategies properly, and not leaving on the exact same settings all game every game like it does now, which leads to all sorts of problems.

Fake Pass: Triangle/Y + Circle/B (while standing or driving)

^^^Just saw this. Was this in last year? I never used/saw it.

Yes fake pass is in . I used it a lot of triple threats and post ups. It's also possible to do on drives but it's really REALLY hard

Edit: I've seen the CPU do it often on HOF

Two things I don't like. I don't like the fact that 2k changes their controls every year so you have to pretty much relearn the same game over and over. ALSO I don't like how complex they make their controls. I'm sure you can have the EXACT same control over your player giving you the same variety of things to do but in a more simple way. For example I hate the euro being on the stick I end up doing something I don't mean more than I Euro. Honestly I feel like a control scheme is the last thing 2k needs to work on, I feel like they should work on reducing canned animations giving you more control over your player, but keeping the animation LOOK that 2k is known for. You gotta find a happy medium

how can a control scheme be "cheesy"?

maybe the move is overpowered and seen more frequently with a easy command. In that case the implementation of the move is the issue not the control.

next people will be asking for shooting to require a more difficult input because people are shooting too well.

That's was the point of the shot meter

Really?!
Did you think the smart play move to d-pad is a good idea?
More option does not mean change the control scheme!
Please refer to MLB the show! THAT's really more options !

Yea it was designed to quickly cut off driving angles of the ball handler and stop a potential blow by with to the basket if done right

again to me the right analog stick wasnt ideal for the cut off on broadcast camera angle as it was for 2Ķ.....
and to add more to it, it wasnt consistent with all other leg movements which is on the left stick

To me tapping the charge button while using the left analog stick to determine directions would be ideal and then you could follow up by pressing the charge button again and hold to try and square up and take a charge seamlessly

# 39 kolanji @ 07/29/15 11:10 PM
With using broadcast camera angle euro step was a bit challenging even when using static right analog inputs. ..to me it was better when double tapping Y/triangle + Turbo button

it would give the option to determine directions of steps (which are not always forward strides) and pace of the steps by how long each button press is...what i mean is some euro steps the first step is a long slow stride forward stride but the second is a quick horizontal step or vice versa....

Players like D wade euro is unconventional cause he jumps off the wrong leg while james harden uses long strides on both steps while chris paul uses a mix of long and quick strides.....

I think the button presses with duration of holding down the pro hop button could be fun...besides this could open up potential for travelling if u hold down the button too long

Just my thoughts i guess
