I'm assuming it's also on the US PSN—pretty damn impressive. Now if only I actually wanted to get it.

Would love to hear thoughts from some of you if you get a chance to play this weekend.

Ditto. Im enjoying and understanding the game better. RLL3 I am enjoying, but would have to be way better than this to make purchase.

There's no question that Rugby League live is better game but being a union fan it's worth the purchase for me there's no question that this is the best Union game ever made for consoles

Yeah, it's on the US PSN now. 4.8GB download, $59.99. I'm tempted.

Sadly, that's not saying much, as we are trained (consciously or subconsciously) to think graphical improvement = better game. All the reviews I've seen indicate it's more like RC2.5.

I know I'm a broken record, but man, if only they had basic progression in career mode I'd be sold.

Perhaps I'll grab it when if it goes on sale down the road. Maybe there will be a patch...but I highly doubt it would address much.

I'm in the same boat. I saw it up on PSN, but I'm not buying until I see if True Blue and WW will actually support the game post-launch. You add some sort of working progression mechanic in career and you get my money.

I'm buying it. Just haven't decided on ps4 or Xbox one.

Anyone? I have checked out clips on xbox one, doesnt look to impressive, especially passing. RLL3 has been fun so far, win some, lose some on pro difficulty. Just know the basic rules, but only thing that seems to be missing is throw ins? But maybe just NRL rules difference?

No line-outs in rugby league, just union.

Any general consensus on which game (this or RLL 3) has the better on-field game-play from anyone that has both? I just know the bare bones basics of rugby, so it 's not really important to me what version of rugby is depicted in the games.

# 179 celticboy25 @ 05/02/16 08:31 AM
I have both games. I have played Union for over 20 years but am very well-versed in league as well. I think for a player who is new to rugby, RLL3 is probably easier to grasp- since it is closer to American football in many ways. However, RC3 gives me more options which keeps the game more interesting. I can employ more strategy (i.e. kicking for space early to control territory, using my pack to grind out phases and dominate possession, playing the ball long to my backs to try to exploit holes for long gains, etc.....) in RC3.
That being said, RLL3 is a much better looking game and the commentary is slightly better

Any other hands-on reviews out there?
