The squad is going to be a lot of fun to use this year.

Luck is a little overrated. Not sure if he's top 5 just yet. Still throws too many pics. On the other hand, Russell Wilson is severely underrated smh. Not saying he's top 5 but he's close. His awareness is arguably the best in the league.

Hopefully these lower Throw Accuracy, especially TAD ratings create some separation from the elite, good, decent, mediocre/rookie and sucky/painter QB's.

Yea Dan, I agree with you knocking a guy for a PED suspension for obvious reasons. But a bogus suspension like tampering balls that he didn't even do or been proven that he even knew about it.

It just drops the overall grade, which isn't even calculated by the attributes, so it doesn't even matter in all reality as to how it affects his rating in Madden. Consider it something like a "production modifier". It's really hard to have a high production modifier value if you are out for 4 games.

Aaron Rodgers character model is still just god awful. How can madden let the NFL MVP look that bad in game???

I don't knock them down, the scouting dept. that provides me with my ratings does. I'm just the messenger. From what I can see, all of his attributes weren't affected, just the production modifier.

That makes sense I guess.

I don't drop anything unless they are injured. That OVR grade is like an overall score for anything else you can imagine.

For example. You run a company and you want to hire this great SQL developer. The kid is a whiz and could make you millions. Only problem is that he is addicted to "Cheezing" (if you watch South Park, you will get my reference). So, although his ability to code is great, you drop his overall value a bit because you know that he may get popped for being in possession of a cat or two.

The same thing happens here. It doesn't affect his attributes and his OVR grade goes right back up when he is cleared to play.

Get it?

Also, wouldn't a lower overall impact how he's handled in CFM (trades, salary, free agency, etc)?

I just don't really see the point I suppose to temporarily dropping a players overall. Especially Tom Brady, when you know what you're going to get.
In Madden, yes, dropping the OVR would require you to drop the attribute values.

In the scouting data, no. They have a separate category that modifies the overall grade based on production.

Example:

Attributes + Modifier = Total Grade

5.95 + 0 (no holds/injuries/suspensions) = 5.95

5.95 + (-1.00) (suspension) = 4.95

His attribute value didn't change, just the modifier for the suspension.

When I rate the players, I don't include the hold for suspensions, just injuries (because an injury to your throwing arm may inhibit your ability to throw).

You can tell by looking at his back?

Sure, if the Colts can find a way to keep Luck off his back. Last year the Colts allowed the 4th most QB hits in the league (107).

If that doesn't change Indy ain't winning squat.

I provided to you how I would have them rated right now based solely on the OVR. If you go by the OVR, then Brady is NOT in the top 5. The reason being is because I am only looking at the OVR grade and posting that directly from my scouting data. I can't show anything else, as to what they would be exactly in Madden because I haven't done all of the calculations yet. It takes a few months to rate 30,000 players.

I wonder what their AWR is
That bumped a QBs OVR up tremendously in past years.

Here are my top QBs as of today:

Rodgers 94
Luck 86
Brees 81
Flacco 77
Wilson 75

(Yup, no Manning OR Brady in the top 5)
Good thing u have nothing to do with the Madden ratings process.
