PES 2016 News Post

PES European Product Manager, Adam Bhatti has mentioned on Twitter, that the team is currently testing the ability to share option files for the PlayStation 4 version of PES 2016. While it isn't certain at this point, it does sound very promising.

PS4 image importing was revealed in early June, when the team released their feature list, but sharing wasn't mentioned. This could be huge news for users that enjoy customizing players, kits, emblems, etc. and sharing them out.

Sounds amazing, but i'm guessing all the files would have to be hosted somewhere, and I'm not sure if Konami is up for adding all of that to their online infrastructure. That would cost money, lol.

Well, there have been some major changes at the company in the last few months. And with this now being there biggest console game moving forward after the Kojima/MG stuff, maybe they will. Maybe they will try and do to EA/FIFA what 2k did to EA with NBA basketball. Maybe, just maybe they have someone in charge over there who has an idea of what needs to be done to make this game great.

I can dream.

@Adam_Bhatti

Option file sharing for PS4 looks all good so far (like PS3). Will be testing in the coming weeks and will update. Time to party #PES2016

So, it'll be the same USB method. For some reason I was thinking by "share" they meant share in-game, but it's not that.

Guess fifa again for me, nothing about xbone? Sucks, looking to play PES again.

It would have to be software level like 2kshre/ealocker, because Sony has that stuff locked down on the main platform level. They don't allow sharing of files like that. So it has to be done in game. Unless they worked out a deal with Sony to allow the sharing of physical files on the platform level specifically for PES. Which I doubt.

See I initially read it the other way but your 100% right about the issue would have to be ironed out with Sony. I have been wishing for an online file share for PES since College Hoops 2K8!

This is the tweet Steve_OS quoted in the OP for this thread. Unfortunately, it has not been confirmed yet, other than they are trying and currently testing. Adam clarified this in his immediate follow-up tweet: https://twitter.com/Adam_Bhatti/stat...18351069761536

Obviously, things look promising, but I think we should be cautious until it is tested and actually announced.

This would be great. I've never seriously considered Pro Evo as an option since the leagues I mainly follow have either been unlicensed or not there at all. FIFA's been getting on my nerves lately, so it'd be great if I had another option that didn't require losing all that.

The ability to use option files has been confirmed right? I thought I read that on twitter but can't find it again for some reason.

How exactly can I upload sponsors crests etc. Will it be like in college football 2014 or Fifa on xbox360? Can I do it all on my ps4?

I don't think it has been confirmed yet. I've been looking but haven't seen any confirmation that it has tested out successfully. I was hoping they'd confirm at gamescom, but they had a lot of other good news the past couple weeks.
