What are some cheap wheels out there that are compatible with PS4 and Project Cars? I don't have money for one right now but just wanted to gather some options.
The one wheel that I've been pondering getting is the thrustmaster T-80. I think in the US it's around $100 but I'm in Canada & it's $119 at my local best buy. The one drawback though is it doesn't have force feedback like the higher end wheels which I can't afford. It is also compatiable with the PS3 which is nice if you have any racers on there. I'm not looking for the best wheel just something that gives me some fun at a reasonable price.
Looking forward to hearing your impressions of this. I won't have it until later in the week.
I will probably post some impressions tomorrow night. I stayed up for a while to see if it is available for download yet, but it isn't. I will check when I wake up at 6:00 am, but I think it won't be up until 5:00 pm today.

I got up at 4:30 am hoping to see it up for download. Nothing yet. If it's not up by the time I get home from work I'm going to have to grab the disc from the store. Would rather go digital as I know this game is going to get a ton of play.

Same here, I'm hoping to start the download before I leave at 6. Guess I can always leave it in rest mode and start it up from my phone while at work though.
Just played a few hours of online racing. Man I've missed having a racing game. This game is a blast and easily makes me forget about missing Forza (went ps4 with the consoles).
Racing online with the DS4 isn't the easiest, so I did turn on traction control and abs. I definitely need to get a wheel again.
I'm looking forward to more racing online. So far my experience with the community in this game is very positive. Everyone wants to race clean and apologizes after races for any accidents caused. I've already made 2 new friends. With a good group, this game will be a blast. Would love to have some OS friends to play. Now that classes are over, I can play more games with the OS guys.
For you people with wheels, how are yours setup? I can't imagine that you're just playing with them in your lap or something like that.
i have an obutto racing cockpit. logitech g27 wheel with clubsport pedals and a dsd button box. here is an older pic. just missing my button box in that pic.
Currently playing with a gamepad and this game is really, really, really, good. I may have to look into a decent wheel for future playing. Look me up on steam: B0rkLas3r for online races.
What a difference a few hours of plugging and chugging makes... I found out from read a Fanatec thread in the official Project CARS forum that I actually had an outdated driver installed (only my Updater itself was current). Anyway, after almost concluding that I'd 'bricked' my Fanatec GT2/CSR Elite pedals, I now have driver version 756 running, and along with Jack Spade's custom FFB/wheel tweaking file (he has a unique force feedback/wheel tuning setup for each individual car in the game and they all KILL the stock settings!) http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sho...l=1#post891198.
Everything works like bleepin' magic right now... seriously, this now has a chance to be this decade's Grand Prix Legends I ran a 10 lap race at the Snetteron 1 mile circuit and had one of the most memorable racing experiences I've had in quite a while. I actually let out a shout when the race was over, even though I finished 10th. The force feedback effects in this game are now impeccable.... I'm smitten!
I'm glad I stuck it out, but when I saw how the clutch was automatically disengaging as I was accelerating, I knew something was up. I can't wait to finally discover this game after a week of frustration!
G27 will be here tomorrow. I'm pumped. It's going to feel like a whole new game.
I've regretted ever selling my g25. I literally learned how to drive a manual with that thing when I was younger. First time I drove a real manual car it was just lIke playing GT Legends all over.
