Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 News Post

Game Informer has just posted their first look at Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5, finally returning to the classic gameplay that so many gamers miss. Along with the article, they have also posted a bunch of screenshots.

The game features solo play, online co-op, competitive play and the ability to create parks and share them. Users will have the ability to power-up and shoot projectiles in specific missions. Hmmm...

Tony Hawk is obviously on the roster, along with Nyjah Huston, Aaron Homoki, Ishod Wair, Riley Hawk, Lizzie Armanto, Chris Cole, David Gonzalez, Leticia Bufoni, and Andrew Reynolds.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 doesn't have an official release date yet, but it is scheduled to be released later this year for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releasing shortly afterwards.

Digital subscribers of Game Informer can read a 6-page feature with hands-on impressions and more details later today.

If there's no mention of a fourth Skate between now and when THPS5 releases, I'll give this a look.

Some of my favorite games growing up, all the way through Underground 2. But the gameplay is pretty aged, especially in comparison to the Skate series.

That's about where I stopped playing them if I remember correct.

I had Underground 2 on my Xbox. I went ham with my custom music in the background in that game.. just a lot of fun.

The game would suck because lack of resources, but a revival of Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX would be legit as well. Just thinking of the original gets Sublime stuck in my head.

Tony Hawk is my favorite Skater in my whole life. I never miss even Single Match of him.

Release date is September 29th.

EDIT: Umm, and I think this is gameplay...

I was letting nostalgia get the best of me. I will not be getting this game.

I'm disappointed after seeing a bit of gameplay of this. Was looking forward to a skateboard game, but this will not do for me. Would love for EA to make Skate 4.

Yikes. Looks like an HD port of the original.

Most likely gonna pass.
