Disappointed in the list of cars but it seems more like a licensing issue that anything else. For example look at BMW. Three M3's and a Z4? M4 is where it's at currently with BMW. Also no Ferarri or Lamborghini? Definitely a licensing issue.

They are missing a lot of key manufacturers. That is really my only negative with this game, but it's a big one.

I wonder how they are going to have Indy car seasons without Chevy or Honda or the Indianapolis motor speedway?

This is honestly a huge let down, the car list is terrible.

Did they announce Indy car? The only open-wheel series I am aware of in the game are the generic F1 + it's feeder series.

And yes, they are missing many manufacturers. Maybe more will be added as DLC?

I heard that they were including an Indy car series, but maybe that was false.

This might be what you are referring to:

Maybe Project CARS decided against it?? (or not ever able to get the Chevy/Honda license?) Not sure why, Indycar would be a nice addition.

Well, that caught me off guard! Still definitely buying tho... it's just odd, they have more tracks than cars.

Yea that's it. That would have been awesome.

I honestly don't care about the car amount. It has enough for me. The depth and strategy (for a racing game) will be much deeper than anything else out for current gen consoles.

I just wish I could pre-order the damn game.

Watching. The view he's using in his open wheel car right now looks fantastic.

The sense of speed is felt even through the stream. The options are like a bottomless pit. I think this could be my racing game the rest of my life.

I could care less about licensed cars. The on track action is going to be outstanding.

I'm ok with the car list, however I will be needing a Corvette at some point. Hopefully it will come in future DLC.

Every time I view a racing game's car list I'm looking for an SS Cobalt. I don't care if it's an 06 SS SC or a 08 SS TC.. doesn't matter.

I didn't expect to see one, but I'm still disappointed with the car selection.

I'll likely wait for a purchase now. I won't try to compare the two because they aren't the same kind of racing game, but DriveClub still provides me with plenty of entertainment.

To me, this game has never been about a car list. What 'm excited about is that it features actual racing, with full race weekends, points championships, etc.

I also enjoy games like Forza and Gran Turismo as the driving model is fairly realistic and the racing is fun but it's completely missing the structure of the real sport. It's like an NBA 2K that would only feature pick up games. I cringe every time someone calls these games great racing sims.

In real racing, there are no 3 lap races between 12 o 16 guys bringing their car to a track and jumping straight into the race. It works great for online but in no way does it represent real racing.

As far as Project Cars goes, the ability to race karts, GT, prototypes and open wheelers, with full grids, practice, qualifying and decent length races on a variety of great circuits is what has me excited. The actual cars could all be generic for all I care, although I do understand that those who care about the car aspect as much or more than the racing aspect may be disappointed.

Very good comparison. I think one of the reason this game will be great is because it has the race weekends, and champtionships, not just one-off, jump in and go race, races.

No IndyCar, no go for me. Too bad...I was excited about this game.
