NBA 2K15 News Post

It's amazing what a year of basketball can do. Not only can it change the perception of a particular team in real life, but it can also affect what happens in the video game world, as evidence of NBA 2K15's final roster rankings for the 2014-15 regular season.

Remember when you first bought the game, and the Cleveland Cavaliers had the best offense of all time because of the additions of Kevin Love with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving? Well, Irving has maintained his end of the deal while K-Love has dropped, causing Cleveland's overall to drop, as well. More on that later.

But the playoffs are upon us, and it's time to put the regular season to bed once and for all. With that being said, here are the final rankings of the 2014-15 regular season in NBA 2K15. These are how all the teams were rated, by ranking, heading into the playoffs.

These types of rankings really are troublesome to me. As Doc Rivers stated this year(Paraphrasing): After the first round of Western Conference play-offs are over, four really outstanding and competitive teams will go home.

Analytics are being continually defined/refined by advances in technology and Sports-related theory. Perhaps rating teams in sequential order is not the best approach.

Rating teams in tiers might be a better approach.

Celtics at 26? Utah at 23? Whoever wrote this is not very intelligent. Utah had one of the best records since the all star break and the best defense to.

Blame 2K's ranking not the writer. No one in their right mind would put Washington at 3.

I don't particularly understand topics that sort by rank when Team ratings are very easy to find.

West Playoffs
95 Warriors
91 Grizzlies
90 Spurs
90 Rockets
88 Clippers
88 Trail Blazers
87 Mavericks
85 Pelicans

East Playoffs
90 Wizards
89 Hawks
89 Cavaliers
86 Bulls
85 Raptors
79 Bucks
77 Nets
76 Celtics

Non-Playoffs (No injuries)
91 Thunder - Kevin Durant, Serge Ibaka
86 Heat - Chris Bosh, Josh McRoberts
85 Pacers - Paul George
85 Suns
84 Pistons - Brandon Jennings
83 Kings - Cousins, Collison all missed significant time.
79 Hornets - Kemba, Jefferson, MKG, Zeller, Lance all missed significant time.
79 Wolves - Ricky Rubio, Nikola Pekovic, Shabazz Muhammad
77 Jazz - Alec Burks
77 Lakers - Kobe Bryant, Julius Randle, Nick Young
73 Magic
73 Nuggets
73 Knicks - Carmelo Anthony, Jose Calderon
67 Sixers - Joel Embiid, Tony Wroten

I have a hard time believing the worst team in the league in Minnesota is better than the Jazz. This is ridiculous lol.
