MLB 15 The Show News Post

Signature animations have become more of a mainstay in sports games as the years have gone by. The current era of mimicking real-life animations was first defined by NBA 2K during the PS3/Xbox 360 generation, but every sports game has tried to get in on the signature-style game.

MLB The Show is no different here, so we'll be taking a look at some of the home run swings in The Show to see how they compare to their real-life counterparts. We'll take a look at the National League today, and then later in the week we'll take a look at the American League.

Tulo was a tough omission. I wanted to put him in as well but at some point I had to cut peeps off because I didn't want the article to be too crazy long.

i wish they showed a video of Justin Upton just getting a base hit instead of a homer. you would be very disappointed, as i was. Finally they get his stance correct but yet they still have him swinging with one hand!!!! which you CANT change this year. i repeat they won't let you change swings to 2 handed this year so whack. that needs to be in bold letters when you take out features in a game.

Since I cannot post a new thread for some reason I want to add this here so it can be fixed for next year as well. The finishing position on swings with one handed follow throughs, especially for left handed hitters, is only correct when the player is hitting in the 3, 6, or 9 hole in the lineup. Every other spot as a completely un-natural what I call "spinning" finish. Pictures for reference:

Well nevermind I cant post attachments either. If anyone knows what I am talking about please post some comparison pictures.

yes i know what your talking about. the finishing swings look terrible for almost everyone in the lineup except for the 3 6 9 hitters. they dont finish their follow through the bat looks like it hits an invisible wall behind the batter then the bat falls to the ground very unrealistically. it really makes a nice hit into the gap seem like i dint square it up nicely yet i did hahaa. not to mention the game gets very repetitive and loses its potentcy when every player in the linup has the same swing. they all look the same when they swing
