MLB 15 The Show News Post

The 10th Year Anniversary Edition of MLB 15: The Show is only $10 more than the standard edition, yet claims to bring over $130 worth of extra value. This sounds like a deal which is too good to be true, so does it deliver on its promise of adding extra value?

Worth it for me especially with Best Buy's GCU program

Worth every penny, the stubs and the packs , to me a great deal to go along with an awesome game.

Worth it to me. The 15 packs gave me a full set of equipment I could put on my RTTS guy and I still have the 12,000 stubs if I want to buy more packs.

How did you get the 12k Stubs? I got the 15 packs but it doesn't look like I got any stubs.

I slightly disagree with the value of the packaging. The tin looks great (my wife even commented on how nice it looks!), is fairly high quality and a great packaging solution for those of us who aren't Dodgers/Puig fans. I do agree that the card bonuses alone will make it worth it for DD players, which looks really promising this year.

The themes are a really nice touch as well, which is where a lot of that "$130 of extra value" comes from (I believe they're listed at $3 apiece on the PSN Store), even if people are only using one theme.

I had to go into the store area in game (accessed with the touchpad) and instead of an option to buy 12,000 stubs the option showed "use". I hit the X button and they were added to my profile.

I love the fact that they even put out a 10th Anniversary Edition, showing a bit of a tribute to my favorite sports game. It's also worth it to me in a funny way; in getting the bonus packs to open. I used to collect a LOT of baseball cards and opening the packs still reminds me of all that.

I agree with it's especially worth it for those who have Best Buy's Gamers Unlocked. I was able to get it for $30 for 2 years... only 2 more new games to buy until it paid itself off!

I like it, its the first special edition I ever got for a sports game. Also I never got 15 packs, only had about 6 when I started the game.

Definitely worth it. The case is slick and getting 31 Dynamic Themes for free is a great value. I'm not a DD guy, but the stubs are going to at least get me to try out the mode for the first time.

Worth it for me too. I primarily paid the extra $10 for the themes but really like the stubs and extra card packs. Only "special edition" I've ever bought, no regrets here.

I'm not a DD player but I have no regret buying this it was worth it

Totally worth it the packs sucked but the stubs got me some good players

I got it and thought it was totally worth it. If you look at other games DLC prices for packs of cards and ingame money, its not that bad. On top of that, you get a unique case and the themes.

I got it... Certainly not $130 worth of value, but definitely a nice edition and I will use the stubs, etc. I'd say it's easily worth it.

A little art book showing off 10 years of cover athletes or even a special insert would have been appreciated for those of us who value the physical part of these special editions.
They do kind of have have the 10 cover athlete thing. Just not on its own book. If you take everything out of the case you can see them all.

I liked what I was seeing with the Diamond Dynasty news before the game dropped. Always hated those modes being a hardcore franchise guy, but this is a cool idea. Getting a diamond Mike Trout in my 3rd pack was also a pretty sweet get. Now, is the only way to get a legend card by completing a team's collection? Or can you also get them in packs? Totally worth the money. The animated scoreboard on my home screen is pretty cool to look at...

I did the same at Best Buy. But I received email coupons from Best Buy after I joined Gamers Club 2 years for $30 deal. One of the coupons had $5 off new game purchase before end of April and could be combined with the 20% off new game purchase. So I bought The Anniversary edition for $51.
