NBA Live 15 News Post

Another NBA Live 15 roster update has arrived today, which includes changes for 447 players. It also adds changes to depth charts, player movement and injury and accessory updates.

Notes aren't available yet, but Timofey Mozgov is on the Cavs. Not seeing the Jeff Green, Tayshaun Prince, Austin Rivers, Quincy Pondexter and/or Russ Smith trades.

The update also adds the adidas D Lillard 1, which is the first signature shoe for Portland Trail Blazers point guard and NBA Live 15 cover athlete, Damian Lillard.

The classic Indiana Pacers uniform has been added and one of the Toronto Raptors jerseys was updated.

Will get notes up when EA Sports gets the blog online.

I've noticed a lot more in and outs on shots then before and it's playing better. I've actually got to try against the cpu on Superstar. I've been having some nail biters.

Is there ever going to be an actual patch for this game or just these little updates we've been getting?

Just to mention my experience too, played the Heat (me) @ Clipppers and it was fun. They were feeding Blake non-stop in the post which was good to see. I quit at the end of the 3rd as it was late but Griffin had 16 FGA and Paul 14 which is decent enough.

Issues are that I still saw DeAndre posting up and shooting hooks, zero alley oops from the Clippers and Paul and Blake was tearing me a new one and hitting shots out of manual double teams. Double teaming seems to do not a lot in this game.

Is this a tendency that can be adjusted or is it just based on what the user is doing?

There needs to be more midrange shots taken by the CPU in my opinion.
I'm investigating the issue. I'll let you guys know if there is an update for it.

Ok. I had a chance to fire up live this morning. I really should be the guy answering this question, not asking (when it comes to the raptors.....LOL).

They raptors jersey that was fixed is the purple road throwback dino jersey. This was kinda fixed before (the nba logo had to be mixed from the front of the jersey to the back "above the players last name) but it was only fixed in game, not on replays or cutscenes. Now it is in fact been changed everywhere. Maybe this goes to show us that fixing a jersey is not that easy. Maybe it has to be changed on multiple layers??? Anyways, glad it's fixed throughout.

Secondly, synergy seems to be on point. Derozan returned from injury last night and he was available this morning on live......good to see. It might take until next season for synergy to get the kinks out. But I do see the potential.....

Besides, I found that the NBA rewind worked! You can choose any time and jump in the game ! Great EA!

Hey Schawall, are you able to clarify if shooting and been touched, or if it's something you're still exploring?

Whoa! Great news. Is this for all rewind games?

The way it worked before possibly being fixed is rewind worked for a couple games. Maybe 1 or 2 games per team. But the vast majority of rewind games would say jump-in not available.

I am at work and cannot check until later tonight but if tedus or anyone else can confirm that ALL rewind games now have jump-in functioning that would be great.

Not all games !! One game per team!

Thanks for checking tedus.

I dont think this is ever going to be fixed for all the rewind games. EA should at least cover up that this is basically a non-functioning feature by removing all games that don't have jump-in capability.

That way even though there would be less games under the rewind section, at least they would in fact all rewind.

As it stands now non-functioning rewind games are nothing more than play now type exhibition games.

Still investigating and tinkering away. I'll have an update next week. Need to run more simulations.

Yeah, I concur with 24th, more midrange cpu shots would be great.

Also having the cpu focus their offensive attack through players who are "hot" in the synergy updates would really make the cpu attack realistic and varied.

Why is Jeff green not on the Memphis Grizzlies yet

Played one half of the Clippers @ Blazers game last night, this time on All-Star difficulty with Ratings-Only for Jump Shots/FT enabled. It was a 48-47 game (I was the Blazers) with Portland up. I would've loved to have finished but I was drained at that point and went to bed.

Clippers ran some nice offensive sets. Griffin had the hot hand early and the CPU did a good job of getting him the ball on every position. He didn't shoot every time he had the ball, but he at least touched it so that the offense was at least working through him during the possession. I believe he had 16 points in the 1st half, including a nice dunk off an alley-oop (not in transition, either) from CP3.

I didn't see anything crazy from the CPU but was surprised that the Clippers only attempted three 3-pointers in the half.

Portland is just a very fun team to use. A lot of talent on the wings and Aldridge is a beast in the paint (and as we know, he can stretch the floor as well with his perimeter shooting). I may just run a Dynasty with them and see how it goes.

I hit a nice step-back J with Dame and was also able to raise up and hit a straight-away 3-pointer with him late in the first half. Batum and Matthews also connected from deep and I believe I was 4-of-12 from long-range in the half.

It's still very hard to hit shots over the defense, even if they aren't necessarily challenging the shot. They just have to be in range and it seems the shot will be a miss. That said, I did hit a couple of shots with the CPU right in my grill, so it does happen from time-to-time.

What's funny with this game is I just play and have fun. I know it's not perfect but rather than focus on the negatives, I just try and enjoy the game for what it is and it's offering me a lot of entertainment right now and that's all I care about.

I know we don't have sliders this year (I'm actually OK with that as I'm trying to get away from adjusting sliders). The difficulty for now is spot-on for me but I'd imagine over time that may change. It's too bad there wasn't options for gameplay settings similar to the NHL series (casual, simulation, hardcore simulation) to me, that would've potentially solved some issues without having full slider editing available.

Anyway, just wanted to say this game is fun and a nice alternative to 2K.

Once I log off the EA server I have noticed that the game speed picks up. Have you tried this? Hopefully there are plans for a more permanent fix.

# 39 Tonyattia @ 01/15/15 09:18 PM
Schwall have you guys thought about adding player specific play calling? Maybe with L1 to bring up each players Icon... Anyways I have a couple problems with gameplay... A lot of times I'll have an open layup and it will make me do a reverse layup or a double clutch which leads to a block, also there is no way to pass to a post guy being fronted, right when you pass it the defender gets out of the animation and picks it off. Hope you can fix these

Last year you could press circle to throw it over while being fronted but they took it out the game.

I like circle for Alley's because so hopefully they can find anotherbbutton to throw it over the top whole being fronted.
