NHL 15 News Post

In what might be an understatement: EA Sports’ NHL series didn’t have a good year. Some other words you could use for this last year could include disaster, fiasco, or wreck.

NHL 16 will have so many things to work on, coming up with just three keys for the game to succeed is a pretty tough chore. Nonetheless, here are three keys for next year’s game which will make it a competitive game with the rest of the sports genre:

1. Feature Parity with Last-Gen. EASHL, a full single player experience, and the rest of the options you had come to expect from NHL need to simply return. There’s no excuse, this was a gaping hole in the series last year.

Did EA admit that they have less man power or you just arrived in that conclusion? They have 2 years before they release the game in PS4/X1 and you expect me to believe in their reason that they have less people in their area so all they can do is improve presentation and a little bit in gameplay? Oh but they did work on HUT, wherein they could squeeze more money from the people who bought their games? Oh...also, being not upfront to the consumers that this game will be stripped off and yea...billing you with the same price?

With all the issues that is in NHL 15, why did they release a half-baked or even less product and not being upfront to the consumers about it? I dont know about you, but if EA will continue their trend in their effort and people will keep giving them excuses, EA will never produce a product that is true to the game it represents. EA is capable in producing the best hockey game, but they refused to do so because they want more money with less investment. Sure, that is very good tactic in all business, but at least produce a game that is respectable in all aspect and not lacking in so much area.

Zamboni race? 3 on 3 big heads? You can at least see the priorities of EA in producing a game with less human resources. PLEASE!

I would like a single player experience offline is how I play. I recently purchased the game because I got it used for 25.00. I have only played for 2 days only in playoff mode so it will take some time for crtiqueing. One thing that stands out is DOC really sounding robotic. Eddy actually is very good and Ray ferraro is exceptional. At least that is my take. Hopefully fat cats at EA listen but it remains skeptical at least untill we see NHL16

Why is everyone so upset over their focus on HUT? They are in this to make money. Nothing else. So we either enjoy what they provide in addition to the HUT mode, or play something else.

They won't change how they operate.......

I think its on the consumers to influence development. People spend money on HUT therefore EA makes a higher profit.

Most hardcore guys here only play hockey. There's only 1 NHL game period. There's no other choice. That's why people get so upset. Imagine if Advance Warfare was the only FPS with real guns available. Should people be upset that there are no tanks? Add that in with the fact that no matter how hard users here try, EA doesn't listen. Then to rub it in, they dangle promises to us and pull them away.

Definitely need player and team differentiation, increase board play and more organic gameplay, music editor , better collisions, increased AI awareness especially defenceman, new and more goalie likeness

NHL 16 needs dynamic difficulty like MLB 14 the show has. Set it and forget it. No more messing with sliders as the game adapts to your skill level.

It also needs to be able to use NHL 15 game saves so we can continue our franchise without starting over.

It also needs in game saves.

Well then why don't they just scrape everything but HUT. I know this is not what you are saying enitirly but if HUT is so important I as you say am going elsewhere.

For the love of God, please get rid of the boring "scores" lines from Doc and replace it with more exciting ones.

His trademark "SCORESSS" is DEFINITELY in the game...but for whatever reason is only triggered I believe if you score one minute or less in the 3rd period. Even in overtime, it is not triggered. This was also an issue with Gary Throne in the past. His loud "SCOREEE" was in there and only triggered with less than a minute to play.

Also, if possible and if Doc isn't available to do it, take lines from live games and put them in the game. I would love to hear e.g. "SCORESSS (insert last name) KANE!"

Please fix this EA as it will bring the game closer to reality
