NBA Live 15 News Post

When NBA Live 15 hit retail shelves a few weeks back, the expectations from the community ranged anywhere from extremely skeptical to extremely optimistic, and rightfully so. The marketing of NBA Live 15, or lack thereof, forced the Live community to either have faith in developer rhetoric or to simply draw upon their own conclusion as to the level of quality of this year’s iteration.

Upon finishing the review of the game, in which I noted multiple problem areas with Live ’15, my ultimate goal was to continue spending time with the title and see how the issues would affect its replay value. Throughout the review process I also noted how much fun the game was, even with its issues, but would that continue?

Luckily for me, and hopefully for the majority of others who purchased Live 15, the answer is yes.

Great read, I am enjoying it so far but they need to patch some of these bugs on the PS4, like the missing half and post game show. I'm excited to see what kind of additions we get via patch this year (facescans, jerseys, etc.).

Late game AI. If it gets fixed, I buy it. If not, I'm buying 2K14 on Black Friday

Great read. The lack of player specific Play calling, off ball movement, a serviceable post game, late game a.i, missing contextual animations, lack of signature animations, too many players playing similar, lack of roster editing, and lack of depth in modes are my problems with the game. Still really fun, looks great, ultimate team is awesome? and on ball defense ad rotations are really good ( maybe a little too good from the cpu). Definitely can't wait for next year and te year after to see if they can really offer a legit option over 2k.

Dont know why Im so interested in how Live is. I guess Im not that interested because cuz I havent downloaded the demo. But I believe there is a correlation between Live improving and 2K improving. Oh how I wish there were two options in football and baseball....

Live is fun. I dont know what it is about the game, but I just get lost in it. Whereas, with the other game, it can tend to feel like a chore to play at times. Once they fix the halftime/post game bug on PS4, this game will be perfect for me.

Live is certainly improving with these updates...whatever they are. It's definitely a much better game than it was day one.

The A.I going brain dead at the end of games eliminates any desire I have to get fully invested besides a quick game here and there though...hopefully it's fixed soon...

"Now it’s contingent upon the developers and POWERS-THAT-BE at EA to let it continue down said path." That is the most important statement. If it wasn't for the Powers that be that messed it up after Live 10. Mike Wang may still be at EA and both games would be must haves. With that said. Devs, keep up the good work. There is a solid foundation now....

I still don't have any replays or half time shows, in any game mode, on my PS4.

They need to fix how the jump ball always goes to the point guard and is not organic at all

You nailed every point you made. I 100% agree.

Also, many times the guys who are about to jump, aren't even looking at the ball, but looking away.

Big thing for me? Online works well and is consistent

think its a joke that in 2015 a basketball game doesnt have the ability to shoot a floater. i mean it was in the game last year for crying out loud.

This is a well written article and you sound like a basketball fan not a 2k fan boy and that's who should be writing articles. Great thoughts. Nba Live is close

One of my biggest complaints and I hope they find away to make this more consistent in the game when it comes to the CPU AI is the lop pass/alley oop pass

Some say it's in the game it's just not something you see much of....

But in today's NBA I think we can all agree you see this just about every night throughout the league.

There are quite a few big's who can't generate their own offense and this is a stable of their offensive production on a nightly basis.

Not having this in the game by the CPU AI (more frequent) is like having a football game where Calvin Johnson or Dez Bryant can't make leaping catches over DB's.....

Please EA fine tune this aspect of gameplay because these are gifted atheletic NBA players who play above the rim every night more often than not....

The game is improving, but there are issues:
  • CPU will often just wait on a play until the shotclock runs out and will shoot a bad shot. This happens in any difficulty level.
  • CPU will do the same at the end of the game, even if they are only down 3 points. There is no effort for the CPU to win.

Those are the main issues I have with the gameply.
