UPDATE: Madden NFL 15 Player Likeness Update Has Been Pulled

EA Sports has released their Madden NFL 15 player likeness update for PlayStation 4 users, as mentioned on the PlayStation.Blog. This is a free add-on that updates more than 150 players in the game, weighing in at 500MB.

No other details have been released and it's currently not available for Xbox One users. If EA Sports provides any additional information, we will update this post.

You can download the player likeness update from the PlayStation Store web link here or from your PlayStation 4 by going to the PS Store>New>Add-ons>Scroll to far right to view all>Sort by newest.

Below is an example of the updated Jordy Nelson.

UPDATE: Based off of some of the comments, the player likeness update is available in exhibition games only.

UPDATE #2: For some reason, the player likeness update has been pulled.

It may have only worked in Exhibition because there's an (as-yet-unpublished) patch to go along with it. That's my guess, anyway.

Saying "Sorry, this was a mistake done by Sony" is just going to piss off Sony. It would make them look bad. And when Sony is selling over half of your copies of Madden, you don't really want to piss Sony off.

To answer your other question, I'm sure they have the ability to "lock" dlc even if you have downloaded it. Similar to how you lose access to things if you opt out of PS+ or Xbox Live, even though it's downloaded on your console. If it's really gone, I'm sure they have the ability to do so.

Well I would rather they actually fix the damn game vs some face scans. Who cares. The game itself is still a disasterous mess.

So have they been scanning players during the season or did they have them all done but only half assed it before release? I'll go with option 2

This isn't the video I remember seeing but I'm pretty sure it was all the same day. EA came to Lions camp on September 3rd to get scans...

What is the matter with these individual over at the controls EA still has not resolve this... I am not playing this half made game anymore, I am trying to get a complaint sent to EA HC , Sony I will pull my member ship and fug them with not buying any of their products. This is just not good customer services. They are just in it for the button line, I will just move on from this company's roster update every year. I'm not happy with this latest screw up, to make it worst nothing has been said ....

Dude...it was accidentally listed on the PlayStation Store early and pulled for that reason. There's nothing to resolve. Sony jumped the gun, and it'll obviously reappear when it also passes Microsoft's certification process and can release simultaneously on both consoles.

Some of these people on here are just looking for any reason to jump all over EA. It can never be anyone elses fault in their minds.

Isn't it funny that people like that only make those comments when it comes to Madden? If this was Fifa or NBA 2k that guy would be praising them for offering this after the fact.

Personally I hope it is on the back of the box for 16. It would be a huge addition to the game to have hundreds of players with real faces.

Nope, but I wouldn't expect any until it's ready to officially go live. My pure speculation would be this week, assuming EA submitted it to both Sony and Microsoft at the same time, and it happened to pass through Sony first.

I don't care FiFa or 2K . This is about EA Madden 15 pulling a free add on (face scans) ,now everyone is guessing due to the fact the company has not said pee. I my self have theories but I am not going all in ....specially something that should have been part of the release.

EA DID NOT TAKE DOWN THE ADD ON. IT WAS RELEASED EARLY ON PSN AND WAS TAKEN DOWN BY SONY. EA HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHY IT WAS TAKEN DOWN FROM THE PS STORE, HOW MANY TIMES DOES THAT HAVE TO BE REPEATED!?
