Mine was automatic on the PS4. You may have to shut the system and turn it back on to trigger it.

Note regarding Depth of Field in both the XB1 and PS4 versions: There is a bug in the menu for the DOF setting. It will change itself to "ON", after a round or a restart, even though it shows that it's still OFF in the menu. You have to click on "OFF" again, to actually turn it off. This might be why some of you are not seeing the benefit of it being OFF, it's showing that it's OFF, but it isn't really off.

I'm hoping HBS can apply a hot fix to repair this. Meanwhile, just remember to turn it off via the in-game settings menu every time you start a new round.

Just found out a little while ago that HBS will not be able to fix DOF OFF status not holding until the next patch. At least it will work for up to 18 holes in the meanwhile, so no biggie.

Amazing what HB has done to this game. I feel like I have robbed the developers in terms of what we received vs what we paid for this title.

The view from the golfers eyes is amazing the realism you get from that camera angle.

I wish all developers took as much pride in there product as these guys did. Mad Props HB Mad Props!!!

speechless with what HB studios is doing with this game. I knew I made the right decision by getting the PS4 strictly for this game. well done and keep it coming!

I also got my PS4 pretty much for this game and it has not let me down.

I'm just hoping they can work their magic on the x1 version and get it up to 900p at the very least. Saying that I'm still in love with this game... The option to turn DOF off and the new camera angles has made this a whole new game. Outstanding!

this patch did nothing for me. I still stink.

Loving the new camera angles and the changes with the wind.

I love the new camera angle but, I may have to turn the ball trail back on even though it is not realistic. I just have a hard time seeing the ball while it is in the air. Of course, leaving it off make it even more realistic since I also have a hard time seeing my ball in the air in real life. Maybe I need new contacts.

Either this is the greatest patch in sports gaming history, or The Golf Club is one of the most underrated, unfairly shredded sports games in recent memory. This game is fantastic.

Everything about The Golf Club feels right. Intuitive controls, no annoying swing meters. Everything is based on flow, feel and rhythm. Gorgeous courses with a variety of challenge, fantastic ball and wind physics, realistic plays from various lies, etc.

It's quite a compliment to a game when my only complaint is lack of stat tracking, such as greens in regulation, putts, etc.

What a fantastic title. I used free MS credits to buy this game, but 90 holes of play already have shown me The Golf Club is worth every penny of $35. This is the most enjoyable, realistic console golf title I've played since Links 2003 for the original Xbox.

The game does have stat tracking of sorts... Stats on the home menu

Thanks for the tip.

Some of these stat charts on the link Kamackeris mentions require a CPA to digest. I'd like to have just a simple, clearly labeled table in addition to these graphs. HBS are working one alternatives to this, so I'm told.

Yeh that would be much better. Would also love to see what average scores are per hole etc. But agree it's not easy to digest at present

Love this game, and love the patch. The one thing that still drives me nuts is the backspin. I'm so glad they added backspin on longer shots now, but it still looks crazy. The ball actually stops rolling, then starts rolling the other way. With real backspin, the back never stops rolling backwards until it has completed all of its motion. Other than that, I love this game.
