2K10 was the first basketball game from 2K that got me into 2K basketball. I was always a "Live guy". That video shows how far as gamers we have come. I can only imagine what 2K20 is going to look like!
Forget about 2k20, imagine beating kids in 2k70 virtual reality style. When i'm old and rotting they can just put me in a coma and i'll gladly keep on living as a virtual 20 year old in the matrix.
wow I my fav would be 2k and 2k12. Would love to see them re-release the original 2k but in current day graphics and game play. Like a nba 2k remastered ...
I kinda did something like that for 2K2 a while ago - went back and re-created the 2012 ECF Finals rosters. Was actually pretty fun.
You know what I don't miss? The days where, in order to get a player's new jersey number right, you had to play trade pinball with him until it'd randomly select the correct digits. Oh, Karl Malone is going to wear #11 for Los Angeles? Okay, first I'll trade him to Detroit, where Richard Hamilton's already wearing #32, forcing Karl Malone's jersey to change to...16. Okay, now I have to trade him to Sacramento so Peja will force another jersey change. Crap. #19. Now I have to go create someone with jersey #19 real quick and assign him to a team then trade Malone there to force Karl to change to a new number again (and so on...)
The player model graphics in 2K15 have definitely taken a downgrade from the graphics in 2K14. Those are some of the best looking player models of any game I've seen. How did that happen 2K???
Great vid. Seeing Jordan say "Are you ready?" in 2k11 still gets me hyped.
Sidenote: Am I the only one who things the graphics regressed over the course of the last generation? Pretty big difference graphically between 2k6 and 2k13.
Absolutely amazing!!! I've owned nearly every single one of those. Brought back a memory - I had 4+ seasons for NBA2k2 with the terriBulls. Had Curry and Chandler both as all-stars. They were rated in the 60's I think during the first season. Ahh - so much fun.
Man, time flies. I can remember playing 2K6 with the Warriors at my old job. It was the last game I actually managed to play an 82 game season. Also remember the hype on here around the 2K11 release with MJ. I love videos like these.
No lie, but I was a EA sports fan from NBA Showdown '94 to NBA Live '09 until my friend introduced me to NBA 2K9.Then the first 2k I owned was 2k11 when the hype were unreal introducing Jordan to 2k. Ever since then I haven't look back since and probably never will.
I think I say this every time that title pops up, but I totally missed Double Dribble. As in, I didn't play it. My first was Magic Johnson's Fast Break followed by Tecmo NBA Basketball.
