Jeff Teague 78? He is definitely +80.

Factor in the boost the athletic players have been getting, I'm shocked that Batum isn't an 80+.

Yeah Tyreke was actually extremely solid when Jrue went down. He basically played point for them and at one point as putting up LeBron type numbers in terms of rebounds and assists.

Aaron Afflalo is so underrated. At least put this man in the 80 range or at 80 out of respect.

I have to go with the general opinion here:

Jeff Teague and Arron Afflalo should be in the low-80s. In which way are Brandon Knight and Darren Collison equal/better players than Jeff Teague?!

But props for giving Korver this rating! Very underrated and undervalued guy!

I respect 2k's opinion but no matter how you slice it (even if the ratings system has changed). Evans, Teague, Affalo, Batum, Green and T. Allen should all be rated higher. But I'm not gonna bitch about it, I'll just edit it when I get the game (Thats what i do).

One thing I will 2nd though, is that request for an update on Kyrie's Hair. So far everyone looks to be on point (very satisfied with the fixed faces/models). But I'm surprised Kyrie still hasn't gotten any love (on his hair and his model). I think his model is too lanky and his hair is... but at this point though, im just hoping his hair can get updated. Can we get an update for him please?

How can we say who's to low without looking at the individual ratings yet ?

Looks like my raptors are going to be dangerous this year. It's going to be a long time coming before ppl say they're cheap now

These definitely look improved but I'm sure I'll be tweaking some things. I gotta put together the ratings by position to get a better feel. Just to throw it out there, defense is judged by athletic ability way too often by fans. I've seen Korver do a solid job on Wade before.

But either that or defense is judged based on steals or blocks, which make up such a small portion of plays. Most NBA announcers I've heard do not know the players they watch or don't know basketball at all, and the defensive reputations some players acquire are way off. Korver might be a tad high, but he's certainly closer than the 60 or whatever it is he usually gets.

He is slightly below average rebounder, smart passer, VERY intelligent player on both ends of the court, great off ball defender and slightly below average on ball defender because of his athleticism.

here's a great text from Zach Lowe about Korver. may enlighten a bit on how he's important and underrated.

Larry Sanders was hurt last year. Don't get it twisted he's one of the best defensive big in the nba. Numbers don't lie.

I'm simultaneously looking forward to guys like Korver being properly rated on their elite skills, AND without being overrated with the separation of moving vs. spot up threes.

Before we got everyone with a high 3 point rating shooting off curls or the dribble like they were Ray Allen or Steph Curry.

Yeah hopefully no more successful euro steps with Mike Dunleavy through traffic

i get the thinking there, but i think unless a player is skilled but injury plagued, the stats should be a direct representation of last year. If thats the basis of annual ratings going forward, wouldn't that defeat the purpose of in-season updates?

Every player quoted in the post I responded to is extremely skilled but injury plagued. I'm talking about specifically when making ratings for a new year. Once the season starts, attributes will be modified frequently to represent how players are playing

Can't complain about Blazer ratings so far. Curious to see what LA and Lillard are rated.

Whoa....Roy Hibbert and David West made the cut. Shame the Pacers no longer have Stephenson.

Can you give any more details? Like 80% of the ratings from last year 15% year two years ago and 5% from 3 years ago? I do agree with using multiple years when players are injured though. What about tendencies does that follow the same logic? I guess I see what you are trying to keep guys that had record years from really receiving all the benefit of that when they haven't shown that for multiple seasons when starting an MyLeague. Can't say I fully agree with that though.

True, but at the same time Batum IMO is at least a few steps ahead of the other guys on that list. He might be reflected accurately in the game because of his individual ratings but he's not going to be represented as a higher value than those guys in GM.. Which is why overall does matter to an extent.

I guess I'm the only person here who's fine with the Teague rating.. He's always been a decent scorer but he lacks the vision and overall point guard skills to have a high rating at the PG position. He's a very inconsistent shooter with poor percentages, average defender, doesn't have the off the chart athleticism, he just really doesn't have any area of his game that would bolster his overall rating IMO.. Yes he can go out and get you 16-18 points, but so can most of the leagues starters when they take 13-15 shots..

Considering there aren't hardly any players who will reach the 90's, we will have lots of very good guards in the 80's range.. Westbrook, Rose, Kyrie, Curry, Lawson, Wall, Conley, Etc.. Considering Teague is in the high 70's and not too far behind those guys I'd say it's fairly accurate.
