NHL 15 Tuner Update Available Now, Details Included

EA Sports has released a tuner update for NHL 15 and included the details for it. They didn't specify which console(s) it is for, although users in the EA Forums have seen it pop up for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Try it out and let us know what you are seeing.

The effectiveness of cross-body one timers has been reduced.
Various goal scoring exploits have been addressed.
Improved goalie positioning and reads for breakaways.
Reduced the goalie�s bias to protect the forehand side slightly, as low far side slap shots are sometimes exposed.
Lower hit assistance on the hardcore difficulty setting and online matches.
Offensive players are now easier to knock over during big stride dekes.
Puck control has been tuned down when the puck carriers� stick incidentally collides with an opposing players.
Shot accuracy will decrease when a player has low puck control.
Puck control will decrease slightly if you string together multiple dekes.
Increased poke check effectiveness for the hardcore difficulty setting and online matches.

Nice, but how do I know I got it? No notifications ingame or out (PS4). In settings I can choose between same as before, v1.00 and latest which I presume is v1.00 in my case? Is this v1.01? Im constantly online with my PS4. Anyone know for sure they got new tuner, then which version should I keep looking for? Thanks in advance ☺

I haven't seen any notification of a new tuner anywhere on PS4, at least not like there used to be with the old "press Y to download new tuner" pop-up screen on Xbox 360.

Maybe they just download automatically now?

From Altito slider thread:

You can get it by starting an online ranked game and at the select team screen, just exit. When you will be back in the main menu, you should see a pop-up screen sayinv that a new gameplay tuner was downloaded. I don't know if there is an easier way to get it, but I got mine doing so.

what happens if we dont have playstation plus?
how do we dowload tuners.

It said I downloaded them. But when I go to use them there is only latest and v1.0. So did it work or not? I wish they could just let us select the highest number instead of having it as latest. How am I to know? We won't know until the next tuner I guess.

It should do it automatically. You should get patches and tuners fine without ps+ as long as you are connected to the internet with your console.

Just not sure how the tuner updates work for either system because EA is awful about explaining anything.

I was pretty happy with how the game was before. I don't think the poke check needed buffing, the player swerving should be reduced though. Goalie improvements are nice as well.

Probably would have to be fixed via a patch. But who knows if they even think that it is "broken".

They still havent fixed interference. The cpu will run my backcheckers like a football block. Not to mention my HUT playoff game that was ruined in ot by a non goalie interference call. The guy skated at my net passed it back and then ran my goalie scored in the open net. Lost 2-1 very very very frustrating.

Same here Im very happy with the current tuner as gameplay is great for me but as I feared if you DL the latest tuner it replaces the old one and theres no way to get it back

Well I dont play online and I hear the new tuner isnt much different so I hope I dont accidentally download it as I worked so hard to find this sliders .

If you're connected to the internet you downloaded it. It's an auto download. You can verify this by looking in the downloads section on your PS4.

Probably just uninstalled the game ? and stay offline

The ability to select tuners is probably broken as this should be 1.02. Near release I downloaded a new tuner and anyone who played online with did as well but no mention of it anywhere.

As of now this tuner is nowhere to be found, nor did I get a prompt it was going to download.

same here.
im on ps4 and only have tuners 1.00 and 1.01 to choose from
