NBA 2K15 News Post

With NBA 2K15 being shown at the GameStop Expo this week, an early image of what the team select screen has leaked out. Hopefully we see some more later this week, including some gameplay videos from fans at the event.

Very nice. Glad 2K is finally going back to classy broadcast presentation featured in 2K11-12, and away from forays into JayZ/Future Metal weirdness since (though I'm probably the only person who didn't hate the Next Gen menus).

Also interesting they're not featuring their player models in the team selection screen and are opting for real player photos. I like the authenticity. The animations of players dissing each other was a tad silly, especially if it was a player that wouldn't tend to do that.

Does hide the flaws of the legend models though-- but it's nice that legend teams have some representation in game that has swag. 2K14's legends felt like afterthoughts greeting you at the start page with melted faces.

Oof, definitely an issue. I may prefer the models to prevent breaking immersion after trades. Now if they intend on up****** player photos after trades, that would be pretty cool-- but 2K's dynamic content has never really been strong/worked.

It'd be cool if they had a Photoshop of every star player in another jersey so if something crazy happened or your in a association it'll change.

I think Photoshop would work well until they get a good pic. (If it's a real life trade.) But, I'm assuming the screen in other modes looks different. If not, I'm interested to see how CAPs look in this screen.

Maybe 2k has a silhouette of a player ready whenever there's a trade or CAP. I'd prefer to see the teams logo personally...

I do like how it looks though...

To all of those concerned about trades and how it would affect player models. They could do it like MLB the Show, and just have it to go 2K's player model. But that is just a thought on my part.

Reminds me of the situation 2k9 when they had the individual player videos....always looked odd when a player would get traded, lol

Menu looks awesome though..

Why not just have a photo of every player in the league and who ever is the highest rated on each team automatically shows up on the team select screen. Doesn't seem all that difficult to do to me.

I've seen nothing or heard anything about improvements on defence and passing from 2k themselves , wtf

Love it!

Thank goodness they moved away from the baby blue nonsense of last year. Last year's game had some of the least user-friendly and ugliest menu's ever.

don't forget we have a supposedly "robust" Create-A-Player feature at our disposal if we wish. It was a pain being unable to incorporate missing players to classic teams the previous iteration. Although inauthentic, it's better than nothing.

Ah. If the player featured on the select screen has been traded and does not have a photo with his current team, show the 2K models for both teams. Tada.

Two different pics of Jordan in the team select screen might prove we may have a variety of player portraits when they get traded?
