FIFA 15 News Post

Similar to how EA Access limited Madden NFL 15 and will limit NHL 15 to six hours of gameplay, FIFA 15 will follow suit with the same six hour limit.

Look for it on Thursday, September 18th. A time hasn't been confirmed, but it will most likely be at noon EST, give or take a few hours.

EA Access trials for NHL 15 and FIFA 15 will be going live this month and we want to give you the details on what to expect. All EA Access members will get six hours with each game, and as always, you will be able to play each game five days before the release date.

Why make a game available early for 120 hours before the release but only allow people to play for 5% of that time?

I don't get it.

Exactly, I only buy EA Access (Season Ticket, last-gen) for the early access to Madden and FIFA. I want my 3 full days back or at least 24hrs of gameplay. What good is 6 hrs? It feels like a tease, I get that having full versions of older games is a huge plus, but I liked the Season Ticket platform much more than this.

EA only needs to put in the option to buy and play the full game a few days before the offical release date on the streets. That would be a cool deal for the subscribers of EA Access.

But the the retail market would probably go crazy over that business model. So this will never happen.

That would be great, or an option to pay more for the full 5 days, like 5 dollars for 5 days.

Boy do I regret signing up for a year of this EA Access.

Does it include FUT / HUT and can you keep your progress or do they reset the FUT teams?

I thought I read yesterday that they would still be releasing a demo for FIFA 15. Anyone know if that's accurate?

Okay let it be 6 hours. Then after that's up let me buy the game early. I Don't understand the time cap why!

LOL. I was one of the people who was upset initially at the 6 hr limit for Madden but come on man. Its not stressful. In fact, if you want more time...you can buy more time. Just create a new profile and spend 5 more dollars for 6 more hrs. I did it for Madden and found that 12 hrs was more than enough time to give me a taste of Madden before the release date.

6 hours of FIFA & 6 hours of Madden are like night & day. You can get a lot more games in on FIFA.

Correct--next Tuesday (I believe)!

Why pay for Access for only 6 hours when you can play the demo unlimited? I get that the demo is limited--but paying a premium for only 6 hours? No sir.

Ehh... with FIFA it's the same for me every year; preorder the game, play the demo 'til it drops. No sense bothering with anything else.

That post even confirmed who the playable clubs were in the demo. I'd be surprised if that wasn't accurate.

I wouldnt consider 5 dollars a premium though. Shoot, the week before release there will be people willing to pay 20-30 dollars more than retail to get the game early. I see Access as no different than that.

Well, it's not just for this game plus you get full games for free to play as well.

To me it's a good investment. I wish it was like before where you would have it from Friday till Monday but I'll take this as well.

To me 6 hour full version > demo, easily.

# 19 Dos_Santos @ 09/03/14 09:00 PM
6 hours is fine with me. I just need a game or two to see if it is worth the upgrade over a free FIFA 14 via EA access.

With so many great games out there, it is going to have to be an obvious upgrade for me.

# 20 tv25man @ 09/03/14 09:16 PM
I'm assuming it is limited to six hours to curb the possibility of gamers either 1) getting their fill and deciding not to buy or 2) Finding gamebreakers and glitches, then spreading them to the community. That may seem unlikely or a small number, but with the way FIFA moves, if only 1/2 of 1% are negatively swayed by pre-release impressions, we are still talking millions upon millions in lost revenue for EA.
