I don't know what to think exactly. I love FIFA because I have been playing it for years (FIFA 08) and I'm writing this comment after I saw the shot from 40 yards go in. With that, here are my impressions. The game looks good and what I mean by that is that the player models actually look like real players. Unlike FIFA, who have been using the same player models for what seems like 5 years. The uniforms look accurate to real life, again unlike FIFA who refuses to make the names on the back of the jerseys look realistic in the slightest bit. Unfortunately though, the game play looks a lot like of mix between FIFA 12 and a PES game. Either the game is too fast, or the players just move around in a strange manner, I'm not really sure to be honest. I'm hoping they can make some more improvements to this game before it goes to retail, because it seems like it could be decent competition for FIFA now, and in the future.
Looks great. The speed looks a little too fast, but all the feedback is saying the speed is normal firsthand, it's just a distortion in the videos. I sure hope so. That demo needs to get here quicker.
Usually there are option files that other users have edited and added "real teams." However this year all indications point to option files not being available for PS4, at least the sharing of files.
There is a slider for speed so I am not worried about that.
In terms of how teams play I have always preferred PES to FIFA. There is more soul with this franchise, more variety, things happen in one game you never see again. FIFA is still a great franchise obviously, but the gameplay is too bland for tastes even with slider adjustments. But that is just my opinion.
There will be a PES demo in September so perhaps you can give it a go then.

Well said. That is exactly how I feel. PES feels organic. When I play it, I seek out my star players and play to the strengths of the team. Fifa is generic and same-y. Every game plays out the same way with Fifa.
The speed is a non-issue there is a slider in game.
To me the bottom line is this. As someone who is a top notch world fifa player and as one who got my soccer gaming started with pes 4 and 5 and then winnjng eleven 6 here in the states, i have always said for the best multiplayer football experience that combines a balance of realism and arcade then fifa is tops. However for the best pure realistic soccer game and best single player experience, pes/winning eleven has always been tops. I have played and owned all of the soccer games since 2002. Take this however you wish. Peace.
What main leagues is PES missing? Is the EPL in? MLS? PES clearly looks better from a visual and gameplay aspect so as long as the main leagues are there it becomes a no brainer for me.
The EPL license is missing although the teams are there with its players but not the teams' names, crests, uniforms and stadiums; the Bundesliga isn't there too but Bayern Munich, Leverkusen and Schalke 04 will be in the game. After those there aren't many important leagues missing in my opinion, the Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese leagues are in besides other ones from the rest of the world.

That's a fair assessment.
FIFA is great online when you are using manual settings. My problem is I can never find anyone online who plays manual.

Not doubting you here, but do you have a source for this? Or is it because of the current PS4 firmware or something??? Would kind of suck to not have option files.

Just from what others have said.

Not set it stone but his comments aren't very promising.
Yeah, platform restrictions. Thought it might be because of that. Looks like we won't even be able to add emblems. I wonder what the solution will be, if any. Back to the PS2 emblem editor? I wonder if it's possible or even legal to have an online in game vault for emblems, where people could upload and download emblems. If they just leave it generic with no way to edit it...
Edit: Actually at the end there he says you can edit kits, so I assume there will be an editor, just no way to add pictures or share.
