NBA 2K15 Will Have Ernie Johnson and Shaq, Not Inside the NBA

We have just confirmed with 2K Sports, NBA 2K15 will have Ernie Johnson and Shaquille O'Neal. Unfortunately, it will not feature Inside the NBA.

You can watch this quick video clip of Ernie Johnson at 2K Uncensored, talking about what it was like to be on the NBA 2K15 motion capture set with Shaq. He also provides his best "Shaq impression".

No other details were revealed to us. So we don't know exactly how the duo will be utilized. We hope to hear more later this week.

Disappointing to a degree. Glad to have Ernie and Shaq. The presentation and lack of authentic TV graphics has been a gap in the immersion for me. A partnership with TNT would have helped that. Miller Barkley Kenny Webber and Sager. That would have sealed it for everyone and been pretty big news. This is news and it is good news but not ...the holy Shiz! News. I was almost more excited at the potential for the missing legends in the classic teams/my team.

When 2k did the greatest games modes and had the visual filters (black and whit, grainy, older score graphics, etc). That was incredibly creative. I would like another mode like that for one...but would also love to see that kind of creative effort going into the presentation.

Exactly, I'm not bummed really. They just have to implement it well. As long as there are clips from other games, that would be great. Hell, even a weekly show, if not a daily one, would be nice, like Chris Berman in NFL 2k5.

Such a 2k move. Surprised they confirmed it before they really worked that tease. If you keep falling for it, that's on you lol. I dont know if 2k15, Live 15, NHL 15 are waiting for Madden to release to start telling us about the games but... hope this bait and switch stuff ends. Quick

If you are going to have Shaq you have to have Chuck along with him but I understand that it didnt happen, im pretty sure 2k tried to get everyone to do it but they prolly said no or something along those lines.

I do not follow Twitter but I thought it was Ernie Johnson who'd let the news slip, or something of that nature. And even then, many kind of ran with their own personal hopes and dreams on this one, no? I honestly don't really know, I just don't recall the ol' "We have a huge announcement" announcement routine for this one.

Definitely a good sign that they did mo capping. If you frequent the NBA forums, then you probably know Shaq does nothing for me on Inside, so I would have preferred Ernie and Kenny or Ernie and Chuck if I had to pick two of them. This is still great news though and as I said before, hopefully just the first step in getting where we all want presentation to go.
