This game is a lot of fun. It's simple and the Free-to-Play isn't too onerous, other than having to watch ads at certain points.

Very enjoyable game. It's turn based with hitting only. The results of your opponent's offense is highlighted whenever he bats and there is a play by play available anytime AFTER you have batted.

The bat is swung with a simple tap on any part of the screen, but hitting is very challenging. Biting on a too inside or too outside fastball happens a lot, looking or swinging way too early on a changeup down the middle, or whiffing on a curveball you know was coming. The pitcher/batter confrontation, at least from the batter's perspective, is very well done.

You'll get prompts at different points in the game. If you have a runner on first, they MIGHT ask you if you want to steal, giving you your runner's speed rating. Swinging away on the steal becomes a hit and run. If your batter has a decent BUNT rating and there's a man or men on base you'll have that option even with some power hitters. The great thing about the bunt is if the timings not there you'll pop up, wiff, or hit it too hard at the pitcher, resulting in the lead runner being forced out. Whether to send your runner to the next base on a fly ball is asked unless the distance and location of the fly ball, factored in with the speed of the runner, allows for an easy advancement. The prompts are well placed, and you'll also know if the infield is in or at DP depth.

Real money is the easiest way to upgrade your teams overall pitching, fielding, hitting, arm strength, etc., not to mention the outright purchases of real Major League ball players. For example Carlos Santana is a HIT 4 POWER 9 SPEED 3 player rated 3.5 STARS out of 5. The cost? 800 units of gold which would run you $10.

I assume that bonus games with no waiting are CPU controlled all the way. Then again the names of your opponents reflect a mixture of "Guest IDs" (ex.,Guest5432678) and created nicknames like "Falcons8", so is it possible that they use the tendencies of real life players, similar to the 2K8 football game? I don't know.

Great game, the real money element is my only concern, but your opponents are matched up pretty close to your team's skill level at least to this point.
