I've bought the PC version every year but I've never preordered it. If you preorder like from Amazon can you do the digital download or is it the DVD version only?

Physical boxed copy at this time it seems.

OK thanks. I think I will wait and do the digital version...I'm assuming this year's physical version will be across multiple DVDs. Never been a big fan of that because I ALWAYS lose at least one of the discs.

That's an interesting point I hadn't considered - I doubt a Blu-Ray drive will be made a system requirement for this game. Which means it would have to be multiple discs because we all know how big 2k14 was on consoles.

Going digital on this and not looking back, I don't care how long it takes to download.

For me, I have to always have hard DVD, never do digital. I like to own my product! Will never go the route of digital, just doesn't feel like I own it that way.

I get what you mean, but as far as practicality goes, backing it up from Steam and storing it on a DVD is effectively the same thing.

Where are those PC haters now ?

Registered to say thanks for the 2k team releasing fully featured PC version finally. And I've been just lurking this forums for so long already.

Thanks Goffs. Got FIFA 15 and NBA 2K15 for 96, not too bad. PC Sports gaming!

# 92 stlpimpmonsta @ 08/20/14 09:51 PM
Yeah thanks Goffs. 48 bucks is a good deal for a new game. Not much of a computer expert but my brother assured me it will play on this pc. His video cards (2 geforce gfx 760) seem powerful enough

I sure the hell hope its not the NBA2k14 version *the first next gen version* labeled as NBA2k15 for PC. The reason why i bring this up is that there were other sports PC games that would be a year behind the console versions in terms of visual updates, new features,etc....so i just hope PC 2k15 is not Console version 2k14 but labeled at 2k15 lol...i Dont think 2ksports would do that, hopefully not but other game companies have did this before and pissed me off. I will be buying both PS4 and PC versions though. I just built a new PC with some high end hardware components so my PC is a raging bull of power waiting to be used!!

PS4 and a decent gaming PC are a perfect match for this new generation of gaming.

You should give STEAM on PC a try....believe me, its a awesome digital distribution PC game site.

Also you better get use to all digital...because the all digital era is not far from us now...including consoles will become all digital only soon enough...maybe not next gen but for sure following gen imho..i could be wrong but i KNOW im not wrong about everything going digitial sooner rather than later. I use a mixture of both...console games all physical discs and PC all digital of course...I do like physical discs so that i can trade them in later for credit towards newer games, i will admit that is a great benefit of physical

You still should be able to get some decent performance out of that gear though...dont under-estimate that 7850 and your i3 is fairly close in overall performance of the CPU in the consoles...which are jaguar 8 cores...that may be an issue because you have a dual core but has 4 threads..but those icore intels are stronger than most of AMD's stuff...i have a 3770k that runs circles around whats in the PS4 and my GPU is x3 powerful to the hybrid 7870 GPU in PS4.

# 96 Moegames @ 08/20/14 11:02 PM
PS:Thank You 2K for not leaving out the PC gamer crowed that have the gear to play your sports games, i was not expecting the next-gen version of 2k to be on PC so soon..or i was expect old gen version ported over again to PC like last year...so this is great news indeed!!

Props to 2k!! The Gods of gaming

With the archtecture of the new consoles being so close to the PC platform...the ports are gonna be so much easier this generation. I have no doubt the port will be a cake walk for 2k devs. Im sure they were stoked to see the architecture of the consoles so close to the PC environment unlike previous generations.

You guys wondering about your spec's. One thing i know is that consoles being a closed-box setup ..meaning all systems have the same specs give developers a big advantage over the PC platform. Basically a PC developer put it like this..he is the main developer of the PC series Metro games...basically he said the current new gen consoles hardware is equivalent to double the performance of PC equivalent PC hardware...meaning that 7870 gpu in PS4 is like a 7970 on the PC side of things because developers can get so much closer to the metal ...meaning tapping the full potential of console hardware x2 better than PC equivalent hardware. SO keep that in mind to those thinking about buying new pc hardware or making any pc upgrades.

I have a [email protected] and a 3GB HD 7970 Ghz Edition @1200mhz Core/1600mhz memory...of course this is overclocked specs but they are my stable settings i use when i play PC games. Also i do have 16gb of DDR3 memory but thats overkill right now. So the higher the resolution the more video ram you need on that video card of yours.

Resolution matters too...i personally have both my PC and PS4 connected to my 55' Panasonic Plasma HDTV in the living room...so when i play my PC games i play at 1080p on my display because that is as high as my HDTV goes as far as resolution.

SO if 1080p is your goal for PC gaming...a 2gb or 3gb video card is perfect and will give you that smooth 1080p performance at 60fps. Anything around 7870 or higher "should" give you decent performance..even a 7850...you might have to tone things down but most definitely will be playable. Remember consoles are so much more efficient with its hardware than its pc counterpart hardware..so a 7870 inside the PS4 is not the same as a 7870 in a PC...im not saying that a PC 7870 wont do the job...it will but how well? Not sure...but see how PC developers are developing their own API's to tap closer to the metal these days..like AMD"s mantle...this is great news for PC gamers or Microsofts DirectX 12..which is much like what AMD is doing with Mantle. So dont feel bad if you are sitting with a 7850 or 7870...your still good but you might need to tone down a few graphic settings that more than likely wont be noticeable to the eye anyways lol..seriously. Like Super High Settings vs High settings in Battlefield 4...is like unseen to the naked eye...i cannot tell the difference.

As for CPU's...any Intel iCore from the last 5 years will be more than sufficient because they are so ahead of their time in terms of power right now...the CPU side of things are not really that huge like it use to be especially because most games these days utilize the GPU for tasks that once were taken care of by the CPU...that is why GPU cores are so important these days..

Its good to see PC making a come back in popularity as a games platform though.

Yes, it has turned out well. I think the fact we've been guaranteed an identical game is proof that the process for "porting" to PC is actually more of a recompile than a rewrite like it might once have been. I believe the old systems used to force devs wanting to make a PC version to basically fork the code pretty early on in the process and then pick and choose which stuff they'd re-implement. Now it seems like it's just a matter of waiting for the code to go "gold", then run the compile routines for each platform, and ship.

Which is how it should be - it's a tough business being a game dev, so efficiencies are very welcome.

Now if the online is smooth and bug free and I'm all in. I'm a bit tired of being burned by 2k's shoddy PC online servers.

Oh and where is next gen madden for PC
