Scott O'Gallagher Leaves NBA Live Team to Join NBA 2K Team as Gameplay Producer

As mentioned back in June, Scott O'Gallagher (AKA OG) left the NBA Live team. There was a very strong rumor leading up to today, that he was indeed heading to 2K Sports to join the NBA 2K team.

Doug Veney of GoodGameBro noticed a slight change in OG's twitter profile and it is now confirmed. Scott is now a Gameplay Producer for the NBA 2K series.

Hopefully Scott can chime in from time to time, with NBA 2K details, just as he did with the NBA Live series. Let's all wish him the best of luck.

I think that's you've confused him with Sean O'Brien who's still with Live and was the one who had the interviews.

To me this just seems like a bad omen for Live 15. Unless he left for a more lucrative job @ 2k, it's hard to imagine he would abandon ship, if this year's Live game had any serious potential. I was looking forward to this rivalry being close again, but if 2k is consistently able to poach valuable employees from EA.....yeesh.

This is all karma for the NFL exclusivity deal.

It is not that serious man but how do you know what goes on at their company. Sometimes somebody with a fresh set of eyes can come in and bring a different perspective to gameplay and then they change something in the code. Shoot sometimes something is seen at Gamescom and people here request some changes. Bouncing ideas off of someone who actually played basketball professionally and worked on making basketball games is like having an in house consultant that not many companies can say.

It's time to stop it. You're throwing out pure personal speculation add of its fact yet have no knowledge of anything plus arguing worth devs about what they have done and do know.

You're treading thin ice here and add much comedy as it is.. you should leave it alone now.

OG is legit and has already made a significant impact on 2K15. We already had a very strong team but now it's just plain unfair. I'm super excited for what he's brought to the table and what it means for the 2K series as we move forward. You guys should be stoked as well.

He's also completely blown up our lunch runs... but that's another story.

Congratulations OG. There were some things about Live I liked. I hope you've brought some great ideas to 2K15 and will continue to do so year-by-year.

So why wouldnt he help in that area. spacing is poor no real difference in playing on the heat or bobcats. He never specified so dont try to play me out like that fam
