Did they mention whether you could restructure contracts? If you can't I guess none of my Franchises will go beyond five years...

I'm hoping they were injured. I am a huge bear fan and follow the team very closely and there is no way the bears would trade those two for anything in the near future.

They briefly touched on it around the 59 minute mark I think, but nothing more than the defensive cam being the primary angle to start with and that the progression of confidence training and drills can still be performed even if you're a free agent. I would have liked to hear more as well, since it's all I really play. Given the new changes though, coach mode by be a lot less stale, I just prefer the tempo of using a player, especially only having a few hours a week to play the game.

The stream was just ok. CFM looks the same. Game prep could be cool but the whole look of CFM, the menus, the fake twitter, its really stale. I knew something was going on when it took so long to get CFM news. I hope we get an overall haul next year. Not being able to edit draft classes is such a drag.

Also Devin Hester is on the fake team the marshals, This is weird. Since he signed a deal in Atlanta for like 4 yrs

I am fairly certain they were traded. They mentioned multiple times that they "improved the AI trade logic so they trade more"

That is a recipe for disaster. Trades are not common in the NFL. The bad AI roster management is a large reason why NBA 2k's GM mode was not received well and I fear that the same may happen to Madden.

Looks like dynamic attendance is back out again on gen 4 this year. Was in 25 on 360/PS3—although when it rained or snowed no one showed up.

Man, I hope they didn't make that mistake. I'm not sure they were traded, I didn't see anyone stand out in return with a big name. Forte is like a 95 so would have to be someone good in return and Cutler is a 85 i think and I'm pretty sure you could pick up a free agent better than the rookie.

You are right about that. If they were traded it would be a major issue with CFM and we cannot know for sure until we get the retail copy in our hands. Makes me nervous.
But EA does have the save file so they could check. And they probably did after the stream but they would not check that during the stream for obvious reasons. Hopefully they post on twitter a image of the Bears injury report

Frustrating because we've all had to try to use slider to fix what's unbalanced or broken in the game, every year, for many years. Maybe this year they really, truly do have the balance stuff perfect, but my guess is not quite. So if sliders don't work and aren't explained, the game will still be deeply flawed.

They said it was 2 years on, right? His age might have him starting to decline by then.

I don't know why they didn't pause the game and look , it would of took 2 seconds. If this is the case I'm sure it will get patched, because no one is going to like Aaron Rodgers being traded for clowney lol

Kinda bummed they show ratings for second year players instead of..oh the stats from the prior season. Is that too much for the game to process?

Also is the sim 10 years option going to be quick and painless or am I literally going to sit there and wait for it to sim 10 years of football. I think the latter.

Yes, they were in year 2. Which would mean that they were traded in this upcoming offseason. I still see that as quite a stretch. Not impossible, but not likely.

Hrs used to develop players aka earn XP is too high. 18hrs in one week? If that's 5 days in a week (game day and day off) that's an average of 3.6hrs a day. Really? If a player was practicing that much per day on passing drills I'd figure they would progress much more. The fact is though, with practice, film study, and strength training (IRL) there is no way they could fit that much time in during the week. Max should be 10hrs per player (2hrs per day), I loved developing players in Madden 25. Seems like a bit of a joke now. Earning XP was OP last year and Under-powered this year. I hope they tune this.

Because if the names did not show up on the injury report they knew they would have eggs on their face and that one mistake would ruin the entire stream. That is not hyperbole, they knew what was at stake.

I think the gameplay looks real solid and of course the game looks beautiful. That's really the selling point of Madden 15, it just looks great. But franchise mode just isn't getting it done. The replay value in this mode is low and its a serious problem. We still have fake coaches in the game. I have no clue why EA just won't add real OC's and DC's in Madden. We had it back on PS2, actually we had it, I believe last in Madden 10. Seeing all these fake coaches and players just kills the mood. franchise mode is just a 1 year deal.

I think there is a lot to be excited about this year but CFM isn't one of them, again.

Remember, players still earn XP through game performance and they say they retuned the goals to be more realistic, i.e. easier to accomplish.

Obviously I will not know for sure until I play the retail copy, but it seems as if progression is improved. I do not think it is under powered.
